Pousada Lagamar — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Angra dos Reis

Beautiful location with great views of the jungle and the ocean, but the room had some problems, the hosts were never anywhere to be found, and the attention to detail was poor. We booked the family chalet for our large family and found one fewer beds than was shown online. So two of our young sons shared one of the beds in the loft. The bed was right next to a window, which we found wide open in the morning because it had no latch - our 5-year old could have easily fallen through it and landed on the concrete two stories down. There was also no latch on the front door - when I pointed this out, they said it was generally safe, but not having a way to lock our room was disconcerting.||The list goes on - there was nowhere to hang a towel in the bathroom and they didn't even have a TP dispenser, there was a bar to hang clothes but no hangers, soap but no shampoo. They said you could get drinks from the communal fridge and mark down what you got in the notebook - but guess what? No beer or wine (or adult beverage of any kind) and no notebook. Since there's no store or anything within walking distance, there's no way to get drinks.||The host family seemed to always be at the other place they ran down on the beach so if you needed anything or wanted to talk to someone about activity options etc, you were out of luck. When we did see them, they were very kind - including baking a birthday cake for our kiddo who had a birthday there! But it would have been nice if the breakfast had been on-site (as advertised but really at the other place on the beach) or if there had been a way to contact the owners. ||Despite all this we enjoyed our stay because the location is unbeatable and Ilha...

Voy a dar una opinión extensa porque nuestra estadía fue muy particular. Si me basara en mi experiencia le pondría menos estrellas, pero casi todas las personas que trabajan en este lugar nos han tratado muy bien, así que no quiero que baje la calificación general por mí. La Pousada está ubicada en un lugar hermoso, eso es innegable, pero nuestra experiencia no fue buena, en parte por motivos ajenos al lugar y en parte por cosas que no nos esperábamos del mismo. En principio debo aclarar que éramos dos familias y en general no estamos acostumbradas a lugares así. Evidentemente hay personas que lo disfrutan más, pero nosotros no nos esperábamos que la posada fuera tan rústica. Algunos problemas que encontramos, que tal vez para otras personas no sean tan molestos: • El wifi no funciona casi nunca • La bomba de agua deja de funcionar muchas veces • De los 7 días que estuvimos, aproximadamente cada dos días se cortaba la luz por más o menos 12 horas. Todas las demás posadas tenían generador para, por lo menos, cargar los celulares. La nuestra era la única que no tenía. • Supuestamente tienen TV, pero es absolutamente inutil ya que sólo se podían sintonizar 3 canales. • Hay muchísima humedad, las toallas del baño no se secan nunca y las cambian muy de vez en cuando. • Las habitaciones están bastante descuidadas.

Otro problema que considero más grave porque es algo que supuestamente estaba incluído y finalmente no fue así es que al contratar la estadía nos dijeron que alguien cocinaba todos los días un menú a precio fijo y razonable y nosotros contábamos con esto. Al llegar nos encontramos con que la persona que cocina estaba trabajando en otra posada por carnaval. Esto generó que tuviéramos que bajar a la playa o comer en otro lado todos los días, gastando más dinero del esperado.

Siendo argentinos, con el cambio y la crisis no nos resultó para nada fácil pagar una estadía en esta posada, así que esperábamos otra cosa. Nos íbamos a quedar 10 días pero decidimos irnos antes por los problemas que comenté, aunque también porque llovió 6 de los 7 días que estuvimos (algo absolutamente ajeno a la posada, claro está). Queremos agradecer: • Primero a Ezequiel y Luciana, los dueños, que al ver qué no estábamos disfrutando la estadía hicieron todo lo posible para mejorarla, y en un gesto de mucha amabilidad decidieron devolvernos la mitad del dinero de los 3 días que decidimos no quedarnos (algo que no es habitual). • Segundo a Dudú, Mariana y Santiago, que nos dieron todo su cariño y amabilidad, y al igual que los dueños trataron de mejorar nuestra estadía siempre.

Por último, lamentablemente no puedo dejar pasar una crítica hacía una de las personas que trabaja allí. No voy a decir su nombre por respeto, pero era un señor que estaba a cargo de la posada en cierto horario, y al ser el único que no nombré los dueños ya sabrán de quién estoy hablando. Esta persona desde que nos recibió hasta que nos fuimos nos trató con una actitud hostil. Cuando se hacía el amable era únicamente una actuación destinada a vendernos excursiones y generar ganancias. Lo rodea una oscuridad y mala vibra que hace que sea incómodo estar cerca suyo. Varias lenguas del lugar nos hablaron muy mal de él, así que no sólo somos nosotros quienes tenemos esta opinión. Un miembro de nuestra familia es vegetariano, y constantemente hacía comentarios burlándose de ello porque nosotros reclamabamos menúes que pudiera comer. Uno de los primeros días le dijimos lo que nos estaba molestando y a partir de ahí se volvió aún más hostil. Todo el tiempo parecía estar burlándose y disfrutando el hecho de que no pudiéramos realizar excursiones por el mal tiempo. El día que nos fuimos casi nos cobran dos veces el transporte de vuelta a Angra porque a él se le había "olvidado" comunicarle a Luciana que ya lo habíamos pagado. This is sad to leave a such review but this place was our worst experience in Brazil. Firstly, the room didn't match the description, mentioning TV ect, the standard of this room was not even a 1 star hotel. The "garden room" was extremely humid, lacked insulation, no window next to the bathroom, and the main door couldn't close properly. We booked this place through Booking.com. However, due to the room's condition and falling sick with a severe cold that worsened during our stay, we had to leave the island to see a doctor after just one night out of our 3 nights. Despite explaining the emergency to the host and requesting a refund for the remaining nights, they do not respond to Booking.com that try several times to join them. This host is dishonest and lacks empathy. There was not even a record of the remain 50 % paiement done to the host, fortunatly we paid by card and could prove to booking.com that we paid fully. Although previous reviews praised the breakfast, it was the worst we've experienced during our stay, with low-quality products, including runny honey that was like liquid sugar.
