Santo Amaro is one of the best places if you want to explore the Lençois Maranhenses National Parc. However it is a very small and difficult to reach village and therefore is not very well equipped from a touristic standpoint. ||The Pousada Agua Doce is a simple and rustic place, but very clean and people there are all really friendly and have helped us a lot in the organization of all the tours that we wanted to take, as well as in the logistic of getting the best option to move to the next step of our trip (Barreirinhas). ||The room has a good air conditioning and hot running water in the bathroom, which, as I have learned, is not something you can take for granted everywhere !! The tourist infastructure is minimal, however, so it takes a little more...
