Aipana Plaza Hotel — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Boa Vista

Took a break from Lethem Guyana and chose the Aipana Plaza based on Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The check-in staff were very accommodating. We had not booked in advance; checked out a couple of rooms before we decided on one. Recommendation is that you ask for a pool-facing room - otherwise you could get one looking out on the hotel lobby area. This time around, we did not use the pool but it looked well maintained and certainly was not overcrowded. We ate at the pool-side bar. Food good but nothing to rave about. Also, as it has to come from the main kitchen of the hotel, it tends not to be piping hot. There's good brewed coffee available in the reception lobby, which one can help oneself to. I recommend a room on the second floor for more privacy. Rooms overlooking the pool area will have some music coming in on weekends when there is live musician playing. Wonderful breakfast, the most complete I have ever had in the Amazon area; literally everything you can imagine is there on a huge buffet spread. ||||WiFi can be spotty it's true but this is a Brasil problem, not a hotel problem. Rooms are comfortable and beds divine after camping on a mountain top rock. AC works great and staff are most accommodating and friendly. I was able to leave items that I did not want to take up the mountain here for 10 days, without any problems or charge. Best hotel we stayed in, everything was lovely. The pool area was nice to relax around, enjoy a meal. Food was very nice, not exceptional but good and reasonable prices. Cocktails where not to our taste, beer was again reasonable price. We had a pool view room, can't speak for the others. Ours was nice, first two days sheet didn't fit properly third day was a properly fitting one. Not sure why. We used the laundry service. Also hand washing, a line in shower was a nice thought. Lots of staff, nothing seemed a bother. Extremely good service and very helpful. I'd highly recommend this hotel. It was a super place to recharge our batteries.
