What a wonderful place!!! We planned to stay 4 days, but at the end, we stayed 10, and we would have stayed longer, if we didn't have to catch our flight back. The pousada is a real gem, stylish, charming and full of lovely details. The rooms (4 standard suites - this is where we stayed - and a luxury suite with utmost privacy and the hell of a view) are big and very comfortable, with excellent beds, luxurious beddings, and double shower heads in the shower (how cool is that!!). The breakfast with beach view is excellent and served till 12 (yeah!!) and the infinity pool with a breathtaking panoramic view over praia do Sagi is bombastic, we often stayed there till late in the evenings, gazing at the moonlit ocean, enjoying the peace and quiet of a remote village with all the comfort you might ask for. Jares (the owner) and all his staff (Leila, Juliana, Deisy and Marcia, you are fantastic!!) made us feel so much at home, that we indeed forgot we were not. We had the pleasure to join some local village parties, and, man, I tell you, they know how to party!! What a pleasure. Such nice and friendly people, such a wonderful place, such a fantastic pousada. We will come back and bring our friends with us, and we unconditionally recommend it to all of those who want to experience Brasil...
Read morePousada Sagi Iti is very intimate (only 4 guest rooms!) in a small remote fishing village at the end of a 11 mile dirt road through sugar cane fields. Yet its accommodations, service, and food are all first rate. I think it's the only place to stay in the area so at most there will only be 6 other tourists in the entire town. So if you are looking for wild night life keep looking, but if you want miles of beach to yourself in unspoiled North Eastern Brasil, this is worth getting off the beaten path to. ||The staff is attentive and the food is excellent. But there are a few small local bars and restaurants in the town so you can get out and drink and eat with the locals anytime as well. (100% safe BTW, the stories of crime in Brasil must be based on the large cities in the south from my experience.)||The rooms and common areas are very tastefully done and perfectly maintained. ||I can't fail to mention the owners Jares and his Wife. They instantly became like old friends. They genuinely enjoy showing you around, arranging a day trip, whatever. ||We had a rental car, but driving in Brasil, at least the populated areas, is not for the faint of heart, so if you rather not sweat it Jares would be happy to arrange for transportation to get there. I promise the experience...
Read moreWe spent two nights in this wonderful hotel I have to say it was brilliant. ||During our travel we spent many nights in hotels and this is by far the best. The owner and his whole crew provide you with the feeling that you arrived at HOME.|The location of the hotel is perfect, it’s directly at the beach. It is very calm and laidback. The bungalows are big, very clean and beautiful! They serve a huge and delicious breakfast!!! |The great big pool is very inviting and it’s located above the bungalows and from the you have an amazing view over the beach and the ocean. |The atmosphere is great because of the small number of rooms (5). ||They also have a small but very beautiful restaurant! The food and cocktails are delicious! We had dinner there twice- highly recommend it! ||We are coming...
