Located at the beginning of the trans pantanal highway so a great location. The rooms have air conditioning, a fridge and are spotlessly clean. Wifi is excellent. Cristiano at reception speaks excellent English and is very helpful a credit to the place. We booked a boat tour here with Cristiano at a sister property. The tour was excellent, we saw giant otters, Cayman and masses of birds. On the way to and fro to the boat we saw Rhea, macaws, howler monkeys, marmosets and a small anteater. Only 10 k from the motel. Excellent value. |Another day we drove to Porto Jofre, 140 each way, we took all day stopping loads on the way. Best way to see things. It is an unpaved road but in good condition, dozens of bridges, don't spend a lot of time looking at them just drive across! Not a lot at Porto Jofre so no need to go all the way, you will have seen lots of wildlife before you get there. It is good to be out at dusk, sunsets are lovely and lots of animals. Sure it is the same at dawn but we didn't get there, enjoying the breakfast at the motel. |The Chorisco at the motel is only available at lunchtime, it is superb, a must try. |All in excellent value for money if you want the freedom to explore and have your...
Read moreExcellent price/quality.||This pousada is more motel-style for a 1 night stopover. ||It's on the starting point of the Transpantaneira so perfect if you arrive at night and want to start driving the Transpantaneira early morning.||The price was very cheap compared to the pousadas further down the Transpantaneira.||We paid 80 Real for a double room including breakfast.||Room and bathroom are spacious and spic & span clean.||The matress on the bed is of good quality. I slept like a baby.||The airco works very good.||Breakfast was simple but very tasty.||Staff was helpful.||||The only things that I noticed that needed some improvement:||The shower had either cold or hot water. It was difficult to get the temperature in between. But this was only in one room. We stayed here 2 times and the other room didn't have this problem with the shower.||The first time we arrived they forgot our reservation. But when we showed them the email of the reservation they immediately settled the problem and ensured we got a room after all.||I had the impression the staff is not used to taking reservations. And like I said, it's more like a motel where you walk in...
Read moreWe liked this place, very service minded personnel and the rooms were what we expected. We stayed here one night after flying in from Foz do Iguacu. This is the perfect spot to stay at before you start your adventure on the Transpantaneira the next day. It's located next to the Transpantaneira so you're able to enjoy the sunrise from the wetlands if you get up early. ||||We called the Pousada in advance so they were aware of our arrival. We were supposed to arrive at 22:00 but wi didn't find it since the map on tripadvisor poined us in the wrong direction. We also choosed the wrong way and we had to go back and get on the right one. We arrived at 02:00 but they were actually waiting for us even though we were unable to call them telling we were late (they only speak spanish). ||||We also tried their famous bbq lunch. It was great! It's simlar o Porcao in Rio in the sense that they serve the bbq'd stuff at the table, even if you can't compare the experiences. I must say we enjoyed this place more than Porcao and it's great value for your money! Don't forget to try the bbq...
