SESC Pantanal — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Cuiabá

Let’s start with the good parts: The hotel is fairly cheap compared to other hotels in the area, you would have to choose general public rates if you are not a member of SESC. that is still cheaper than any other hotel in the area. activities are fairly cheap as well you have spa on site some complementary activities and trips throughout the pantanal river. you leave directly from the hotel to all the activities or short walk to the river so it’s nice you don’t have to drive to get there and you don’t need a car. They have a ride from Cuiaba which is fairly cheap as well. Beverages and snacks are very cheap over there as well as the rate is Full board with breakfast lunch and dinner provided. Good for families and kids/ couples. Don’t forget to try the dinner at the spa, it’s a 4 course meal and it’s very good and it’s complimentary but you have to book it in advance.

The not so nice parts: If you do not speak Portuguese there is literally no one that speaks English and they do zero effort to try to help you in understanding. Feels like they literally despite foreigner travelers maybe this hotel is aimed towards the Brazilians and I made a mistake booking it as a foreigner. Don’t plan any trip unless you are coming with a group of six people or more, As they often do not have enough people to accommodate the trip. Do not plan to use the spa as well as they do not have enough people to accommodate requests two days ahead.

Final thoughts I would book it but not expecting To do specific activities and understand that no one would speak English in the hotel. As soon as I get there I would go to the tourist area book all the activities that I want to have my schedule I would recommend to bring a pen and paper and write down the days with activities so it will be more clear for you which days which activity goals and then go directly to the spa and book whatever treatment that...

Dicas: Fui com minha família em julho/24. O passeio de barco a noite é sensacional, mais por poder ver as estrelas do que pelos animais. O foco, inclusive, deveria ser um passeio para ver as estrelas. O passeio de barco a tarde é muito bom também. Ótima paisagem com o pôr do sol. Leve calça tactel confortável para usar nos passeios a tarde ou pela manhã. Os mosquitos são implacáveis. Os passeios são agendados na central do turista dentro do Sesc e não na recepção, onde é feito o check in. Ao chegar no local, já agende seus passeios. O SPA também é agendado no prédio do SPA e não na recepção. Crianças não podem entrar na área interna do SPA onde tem a piscina. Entrou no SPA, aproveite o local, a piscina e sauna. Saiba que o SPA fecha para almoço. Se você agendar um procedimento com término perto do almoço, não vai conseguir aproveitar o SPA Não se empolgue com os agendamentos. Sua conta de checkout pode ultrapassar facilmente R$ 1.000. Veja a conta do translado, mais consumo no bar, mais passeios e mais SPA. Você pode chegar no horário do passeio de interesse e verificar desistências também. O restaurante tem uma parte superior onde é possível acomodar famílias maiores. No restaurante tem suco e água a vontade Ao lado do restaurante tem um café que abre às 16h. Lá tem alguns salgados, doces e café coado ou expresso Você pode trocar um jantar no restaurante para comer no Cambará. Reserva no SPA. No Cambará vai experimentar sabores e combinações diferentes em um menu completo. Se for uma pessoa que come razoavelmente bem, recomendo passar no café antes e dar uma boa reforçada antes de ir no Cambará. Após comer o menu completo, tivemos que levar meu filho de 10 anos para comer um misto quente na lanchonete. A experiência no Cambará dura 2h, que é o tempo que o outro restaurante fica aberto. O café da manhã é de 7h às 9h. Prepare-se para acordar cedo A piscina não é aquecida e os mosquitos atacam no fim da tarde. Depois eles sossegam. Não é necessário levar toalha de piscina. Basta pegar na recepção Achei as bebidas do bar caras, inclusive as bebidas sem álcool. No lado externo da central do turista tem dois bebedouros com água mineral. Há também bebedouros em frente a recepção. Basta encher sua garrafinha. O mirante fica no último andar do bar da piscina, porém o Sesc fez uma edificação em altura bem na linha do pôr do sol. Não ficou legal Tem bicicleta pra alugar. Só não dá pra sair fora do Sesc A tomada do banheiro é 220 e o secador não é bom. Mulheres, levem secador. No quarto, as tomadas são 110. I had a lovely time here with my Brazilian gf's family. If you don't speak Portuguese you will have a hard time communicating. All the staff and guests speak only Portuguese as far as I could tell, this resort doesn't seem to cater to international guests. Many of the signs are only in Portuguese.
