Just came back from my 1 week holiday (in the middle of July, winter season) there with my family. ||||Ueli and Mayo was quick and responsive from the moment I requested reservation. The tips are useful, as it should be, since the location is quite off-the-beaten track. You need to take a ferry and pass a small town(Santo Andre) to be there.||||I had a villa, as tree house is not for the kids, and the house was more than I had expected. Super clean and perfectly maintained. The daily house cleaning was also included, so that we could idle without worrying our kid's propensity of messing around.||||The breakfast was bountiful, including pao do queso, fruits and strong coffee. Though it cost extra, I thought the it was a steal, as the price was rock-bottom considered what it offered.||||But a true compliment should go to Ueli and Mayo. Their hospitality was at the highest level, never encroaching my privacy. You might expect a mixture of European puctuality (more precisely, Swiss) and Brazilian warmth. ||||In one case, I had my rent car stuck at sand dune at the time of sunset. Read moreWell located posada, just a short walk into Santo Andre village, only steps from the undeveloped beach and nestled cozily in well maintained jungle forest. There is a lot of praiseworthy attention to detail by the Swiss owners - the furnishings, the quality of breakfast, the condition and cleanliness of the rooms and villas. During my stay it rained for 4 days. As a solo traveller staying in one of the delightful treehouses, there are not really any common areas to shelter in such weather. But the owners were kind enough to offer me to stay in a spare villa due to such bad weather. Also some internet issues, but these were resolved. Bottom line...this is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay where you will be looked after, and if problems arise - remember you are in Bahia! - the owners are quick to solve them or develop work...
