Pousada Estrelas no Mar — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Florianópolis

This is a small, friendly family run bed and breakfast. It is next to the beach which was mostly deserted for the two nights we were there, which was out of season in October. We were met by a friendly young man called Cristiano who also served us in the restaurant on our first evening. The food was excellent. The view over the sea for breakfast was wonderful - such a peaceful place. There was a supermarket where we were able to buy a simpler meal which we prepared for ourselves on the second evening in the communal kitchen / breakfast area. We went for this purely based on the fact it said it was quiet, and struck lucky as a result. About 10 yards from a lovely beach, with the best restaurant on the island 30 yards away and the best day trip - a hike to a neighbouring beach and lagoon - starting here also. Plenty of other restaurants to choose from too.||We stayed midweek in a double room and it was pretty quiet, apparently the beach does get busier at weekends. We stayed here for three nights. The staff was very nice and helpful and the rooms were clean and offered everything we needed. There is also a kitchen which we used for cooking (supermarket and restaurants are nearby) as well as a comfortable living room with a TV and lots of space to sit. Outside it was nice to use the hammocks and the fire place for a BBQ. The hostel is located in a quiet place directly on the beach, which is good for swimming and where some boatrips start to other beaches. ||We can definitely recommend...
