There are not enough words to describe this place, but I ll try. You feel part of the forest that surrounds you. Decoration is simply amazing, with little details that make you feel at home. I went there with my girlfriend, and we didn't want to leave. The owners go the extra mile to make sure you feel comfortable and welcome, whether by cooking you the perfect breakfast, or taking you on a small trail through the forest while showing you the variety of tree species and fruits that they grow. The waterfalls within the property are so romantic that you can spend the whole day secluded from civilization. We first came to this gorgeous forest retreat in February of 2018 and cannot say enough about it. We immediately started planning our second trip here abd just spent five days among the birds, waters and trees of Sitio Refugio. The space is like none other : Arthur and Andrea have created and curated a landscape that shows how much they value their guests’ experience and the preservation of the land. The accomodation is beyond comfortable: we stayed in a private bungalow with a beautifully finished bathtoom, a porch full of fragrant jasmine and an incredible view.
