Pousada Vila Parnaiba — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Parnaíba

I liked the property a lot even though the neighborhood didn't looked very friendly. The rooms were surrounding a nice garden which resembled a forest and had a big pool and a jacuzzi. Our room which was a middle range was very comfortable. It had a king size bed and a bed bunk twin over twin. The bathroom was nice and comfortable (spacy enough to accommodate our toiletries with a powerful hot shower). Upon arrival we received all the instructions needed to comply with Covid19 regulations. Part of the new procedures included the use of a phone app to choose your breakfast options. It had a lot of options to choose from and employees remembered you to use it before going to sleep. The next morning we walked to the breakfast area (which was an open air space) and after choosing our table, the food started flowing. Every guest received a sealed round tray with the selections of fruits, breads, cakes and beverages selected the prior night. Unfortunately we stayed only one night and didn't have enough time to enjoy the pool area. The guys at the front desk helped us book the tours which were really great. We did a boat tour through the delta and after returning we boarded on a second boat that took us on a 50 mile ride through the river to witness the Revoada dos Guarás. It was amazing. When we first arrived we weren’t very impressed with the pousada, as they were undergoing renovations in the entrance and it was in an unsafe part of town. However, the longer we were there the more we liked the pousada! The staff is wonderful, especially Manoel who speaks amazing English, in addition to Spanish, German, French, and probably more languages. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious (the bathroom was enormous!) with a good AC, TV mounted on the wall, and a mini fridge. The wifi was a bit spotty at times, but it worked pretty well from our room, we were even able to use Skype. Breakfast was pretty good as well. The only negative aspects really were the location (convenient downtown, but the area isn't very safe at night, we had our local friends pick us up and drop us off) and that the price seemed a bit high for what was offered. However, in general it was a nice place and we would probably stay...

Very caring staff, going the extra mile to make sure we were ok, and also very knowledgeable of the region, providing invaluable tips on day trips and restaurants.|Delicious breakfast, with dishes freshly prepared with the cooks always ready to adapt to ones taste.|And at the top of that, it is a beautiful pousada, nicely decorated and very well located, close to very charming and strategic bits of the town.|I fully recommend it for those wishing to visit Parnaíba and the Delta, but also to those only looking for a quiet place to relax.|Big shouts (fearing I'll be missing someone) to Nicolas, Wygma and the reception team, Rosa and Rosário from the breakfast and sr.
