Praiagogi Boutique Pousada — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Porto Calvo-São Luís do Quitunde

I booked and received confirmation by Booking for the Pousada for our family - two children, 11yrs and 14yrs and I had entered everything correctly in the booking form, received the confirmation for our stay. I asked by email for an additional night of reservation. Never received an email, instead a message by the Booking client service that the hotel asks us to cancel our booking (4 nights befor arrival... we were already in the middle of our road trip btw Maceio and Porto de Galinhas) as they are only accepting addults 16plus???? ||||We were well surprised... thankfully we found a much better solution as Pousada Vila do Patacha helped us out by renovating quickly a bungalow so we stayed longer at Praia do Patacha, which was lovely... ||||Really strange as I checked again, now on booking with the information of two kids, two adults, I would have been possible to book the Boutique Praiagogi Pousada now, again... so if they did a mistake, why did they not reply immediately to my email and aplogising for the mistake that the booking was accepted. And why do they not state on neither homepage nor on Booking that this is an adult hotel? And why would it be possible by Booking to book the hotel, now??? Questions over questions... happy we did not get...

This is a special place on earth. It's a small property with only 6 rooms right at the beach. It's not your typical turquoise blue water beach but I found it very interesting and special. The low tide each day turns the beach into a very peculiar desert-like setting. There is a river that joins the ocean nearby with mangroves and crabs (typical "mangues"). More importantly this property is a GEM. The staff are the friendliest ever. I still miss Daiane, Robson, Lucas, Janaína and many other friendly staff members who really take the extra mile to make your stay in Praiagogi a unique and unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to be alone there so it was a true honeymoon for my husband and me. We were impressed to see how the property was impeccably clean and well-kept. It's a little pricier not only bc it truly is a Boutique Hotel but also because it includes breakfast and (delicious) dinner. “Boutique” is definitely the correct description. Small, clean pousada with only 6 rooms. The rooms themselves are small, but very tastefully done, bed was semi comfy, no where to really sit in the room besides one chair and the bed. I liked the detached outdoor bathroom with nice shower water pressure and plenty of hot water. The rooms on the bottom floor son’t provide much privacy, you pretty much have to keep everything shut when you are in the room, or everyone walking by has a great view of your business. Staff was amazing, professional and efficient. Our rate included dinner and we ate in the restaurant every night.
