Vale Suíço Resort Hotel — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Pouso Alegre

I am kindly writing this review for Vale Suíço Resort (Itapeva - Minas Gerais) in gratitude for the attentive staff that made our family vacation truly enjoyable. My parents (a.k.a: grandma & grandpa), my husband, my toddler and I spent quality time together at the resort nestled in the hills, surrounded by nature and a gentle breeze. We checked-in early August (Brazilian winter), but it felt like just a perfect summer (temps. from low to mid 70s F). Everyday, we were tweeted “good morning” by wild green parakeets that roosted at the top of the palm tree by the infinity pool. There’s a swimming pool for everyone during the day and at night too (indoor cave pools with waterfalls are heated). Breakfast will never be the same without toasty and gooey “pão de queijo”, eggs cooked to order and even a freshly squeezed detox ginger-lime-pineapple juice. There was quite a spread at lunch and dinner, including “churrasco”(roasted meat on giant skewers) and customized pasta station; desserts galore. |Having a “picky eater” dedicated menu selection at the restaurant definitely helped us (parents) feel more at ease during meal times. There was no need to worry about gaining weight for we were biking, swimming, pedaling boats, swinging hammocks, visiting the petting zoo, and playing with our little one at the two level indoor playground. If you must work out, there’s a nicely equipped gym too with sunrise/sunset views. There’s a team of “monitores” (children activity coordinators) that run a daily schedule of activities with the guests’ kids. The monitores are very engaging and plan activities encompassing different age groups. By the end of the first day, my toddler, the other guests’ kids and the monitores became close friends and hang out together as if they had known each other for a long time. They often sat together at meal time at their own “members only” table. Another resort feature that surprised me was the “cantinho da mamãe” (the mother’s corner); they consisted of kitchenettes with microwave, mini fridge, sink and stovetop stocked with fruits, cereal, milk and, filtered water and even a highchair (dedicated spots for mom’s to prepare their little kids meals and wash bottles etc…) Overall the property is well cared for, the staff is friendly and helpful (lifeguard included), there are lots of activities, lounge areas to relax or read and amenities (spa services, pool towels and toiletries too), and it’s safe (gated property with security guard and 24 hour reception). There was no time to be scrolling down on our cell phones screen; we only used our cell phones to record the smiles, fun and joy we were experiencing. I definitely recommend staying at Vale Suíço Resort and wish your family have the same precious moments we had. Special thanks to Marcos N. who made us feel more than just guests with a room #. I could write about the amazing pool complex that the kids loved. I could also talk about the delicious food or the outstanding lofts that I stayed at.|But others Resorts can build up some like that. So I decided write my review thanking people that made my family trip went beyond our expectations.|And it started when Sr. Paulo and Sr. Rogerio open that gate for us. Then Herith was so kindly with our luggage. The receptionist team Micaela, Sabrina, Luciana, Lari(Larissa), Mr. Marcos, Eduarda and an especial thanks to Tamara. She was so helpful when my wife needed to work at her home office needs.|I will miss a lot Mr. Evaldo, now I know he is a gardener, but we met him taking care of the bikes, the pedalinhos and SUP paddles. He was so nice with me and my kids. Thank you a lot Mr. Evaldo.|What about that lady Rafaela, every morning she delivered my gengibre at my breakfast! Mr. Paulo, so nice, smiling from lunch to dinner. Emerson and our fresh juice. Jassi and the Italian palha recipe!|Mr. Diogo, Mr. Gilmar and the Maître Mr. Peterson. Desorganizado, confuso e desleixado.

Visita de 4 dias, baixa temporada (final de semana + 2 dias no início da semana).

Quarto: Em geral é bom, bem decorado. Ar condicionado funcionando. A roupa de cama branquinha, limpa, confortável. CONTRAS: Nos quartos onde o acesso é pela sacada, existe visualização total para o lado de dentro do quarto, quando as cortinas ficam entreabertas. A cama de casal é união de duas de solteiro e, durante a noite, elas se moviam deixando uma fenda entre as duas. Banheira tem hidromassagem velha, vaza água pelo chão do banheiro e exala um cheiro horrível de ovo podre. A água da banheira é escoada mesmo com o ralo fechado.

Serviço Recepção: Pedimos para mudar de quarto diversas vezes, devido ao desconforto mencionado acima. Foram várias tentativas e cada vez uma desculpa diferente. Não conseguimos mudar de quarto.

Serviço nas áreas de lazer: Inexistente. Simplesmente não existem funcionários para atender os hóspedes. Ninguém nos bares. Ninguém no local de troca de toalhas. Ninguém no arco e flecha. Ninguém no pedalinho. Ninguém nos quadriciclos. Ninguém na tirolesa.

Restaurante: Quando chegamos, o concierge da Recepção nos disse que, como o hotel estava muito cheio, as refeições estavam divididas entre dois grupos. Nós escolhemos o segundo horário das refeições. Mas quando chegávamos, as comidas estavam todas mexidas, sem reposição e não havia controle nenhum de quem entrava em cada horário. Pedimos reposição de algumas comidas, logo que chegamos (respeitando o horário do nosso grupo) e o garçom disse que já havia acabado! Desde então, decidimos ir nos horários que queríamos. A equipe não respeita os horários das refeições.O pessoal dizia que não iria repor as comidas porque já estava encerrando (com 1h antes do horário de fechamento!!). Preparo da comida desleixado, sem variedade e é tudo reaproveitada dia após dia. Quase não há novidade no buffet. Todo dia, mesma coisa. Comida sempre fria, seca e dura. SEMPRE! Teve dias que eu comi do buffet infantil (nuggets e papinha de bebê de legumes), porque não conseguia mais tentar comer aquelas comidas mal feitas. A área de churrasco e massas são ainda mais terríveis. Se as comidas dos rechauds são secas e duras, voce imagina o “churrasco”. Além disso, ficam afastadas do buffet e são muito mal sinalizadas. Quase não percebe-se que existem.

Arrumação: O serviço de arrumação vai até 14h. Às 13h30 ainda liguei na recepção informando que o quarto estava liberado. As arrumadeiras chegaram às 18h00, depois de termos cobrado algumas vezes. E tivemos que sair do quarto e ficar na varanda esperando elas terminarem.

Informações: Nenhuma informação é passada igual. Perguntamos sobre o uso de máscaras (São Paulo já havia liberado em todos os locais). Uma vez falaram que precisava usar em todas as dependências do Hotel. Outra, falaram que estava liberado nas áreas externas. Perguntamos se poderia fumar no Hotel, nos disseram que sim, em todas as áreas externas. Solicitamos cinzeiro no quarto, para fumarmos na varanda, falaram que iam mandar. Logo nos ligaram novamente e falaram que não poderia fumar nas dependências do quarto, somente nas áreas externas comuns. Perguntamos até qual horário a Fazendinha ficava aberta, nos disseram 17h. Na placa do local, diziam 12h.

Observações finais: Se você não gosta da presença de muitas crianças em todos os espaços, sugiro que procure outro hotel. Além de tudo o que foi retratado acima. Não há sossego na piscina. É o dia todo música altíssima, crianças correndo e gritando e equipe de monitoria falando ao microfone. Também senti falta de sinalização em todos os lugares. Falta acessibilidade. O hotel tem boa estrutura, é lindo, várias piscinas e bem arborizado, mas parece que nada funciona direito. Não merece o título de Resort e também não vale o preço da estadia. É um local que tem muito potencial, mas ainda precisa...
