At R$450 per day, we would have thought that this hotel would be magnificent 5 star hotel, especially being in a small town. However, that was far from the truth. Overall the hotel is nice. Spacious rooms and a beautiful outdoors, considering it's on a golf course. Also, the staff is very friendly. That's pretty much all you get.
The golf is NOT free as we were led to believe and we actually need to pay to rent the equipment, balls, and a cart. They even charge 50 cents for the tees! Now that we are here, they tell us that it's free if we bring our own stuff. Who is going to be lugging their clubs through the airport on a 13 hr flight for a vacation?
The breakfast is only from 8-10 and is mediocre with a decent selection of fruits and nothing else really available for a healthy vegan couple. The price isn’t worth the quality.
The gym is atrocious, with 4 pieces of pathetic equipment.
Everything is basically run down, old, and dark. It's clear that they don't care and simply want your money. Which is very clear by the fact that if you try to cancel your reservation early that you won't receive a penny back.
The theme is that this place charges 5 star prices for 3 star accommodations. I'd never return here and would never recommend it to any...
Read moreCame here for three days to celebrate the wedding of a dear friend who has family in Sao Joao. This place was wonderful. We had almost the entire hotel booked due to the large scale of our party and they were great. Breakfast every morning was wonderful, service was good, and the front desk manager and staff very gracious. The rooms are impeccable. They are modern and have huge balconies overlooking the golf course with screened doors and you can hear the outside through them if you decide to leave the glass open while sleeping. Huge showers with huge tubs also with views of the course and the balcony. So romantic and such lovely architecture. They had a great outdoor pool space and outdoor pool deck which transformed into a lovely wedding venue. Indoor pool and fitness center to complete this resort feeling property. Everything was airy, open, and warm. We were so sad to have to leave this beautiful place. Wireless was included which was nice and the little towns that surround this area are wonderful. See Sao Joao del Rei and Tiradentes while here. It is such a nice view of what really is authentic Brazil. I hope to be back here very, very, soon. Truly a paradise setting in what felt like a...
