Pousada Ribeirao do Ouro — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de São Lourenço

We stayed here for the weekend with a few friends and family and it was perferct. ||The rooms were clean, the green space was all tighty and well kept, the restaurant was great serving amazing mineira food with a friendly staff. ||||The is such peace and quiet in this place that we slept like rocks at night. Shower with warm/hot water was working well. ||||Across the river there was a small trekking trail, good for morning walks to refreshen up before of after breakfast. ||||We had a Saturday early morning start to go to the Prateleiras. I'd say it was very close and convinient to access the entrance of the park (Top entrance to the park). One of our options was Itatiaia...and this would have been quite far. ||||We will be planning more hikes in the area and we'd definitely come back to...

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel which I and three friends were using as a base for a butterfly watching tour. The rooms were clean and well serviced, the breakfast was excellent and I had some laundry done which they sent out to a local establishment and was returned the same day. The family who run the hotel were pleasant and helpful and one of them spoke reasonable English. Although we had expected to eat out they seem to be moving into providing an evening meal and we ate there every night.
