Pousada Luar da Praia — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Salvador

The Pousada Luar da Praia is located directly at the beach and has its own pool area. The holiday complex is designed in a very beautiful, charming and authentic way and is surrounded by a lot of flowers and plants. The rooms are clean and lovely and practical furnished. ||Offering a lot of fresh and exotic fruits aswell as homemade cakes, scrambled eggs, sausages and much more, the breakfast buffet is superb. In the evening you can eat delicious brazilian and italian dishes. ||The employees are very friendly, charming and helpful as like as Jürg, the owner of the pousada, who speaks Portuguese, German, French, English and Swiss German. ||The Pousada has a direct access to the beach. The endless palm-lined beach is paradisical and there are only few people. Already in Octobre the ocean has a very comfortable watertemperatur and its waves are great to surf. ||The Pousada offers a excellent price-performance ratio. We are definitely coming back! Location is great.

But the service from the manager was unprofessional and arrogant. For example, on our arrival very late the previous night, the check-in night manager just showed us our room and gave us the key. He didn't give us general information about the Pousada. Anyway we were so tired to ask we went straight to bed. The next day we go downstairs for breakfast ... it's about 9:30am all the breakfast food is cold and messed up. We ask for some hot eggs because there isn't sufficient scrambled eggs in the pot which is cold. The service lady said I can reheat that small portion scrambled eggs. Well we asked if they can freshly make eggs for us.... but she said she couldn't. Then the day manager came over and we asked him. He told us breakfast finishes at 9:30am. We had to implore him to freshly make eggs for us. 5 minutes of almost begging him to make for us ruined our morning here...

We wouldn't recommend...

Location is amazing on the Beach, nothing better, awesome. Unfortunately the Pousada had maybe better times in the past. No maintenance at all. If you have low expectations on quality (room, food, cleanyness, noise, etc.) than it is ok. Based on low room Rates for rooms without Ocean view, it can happen that there will be clientes „creating“ a lot of noise and „low Education behaviour“. But you have espace enough to escape. But of course this is not a Boutique Hotel... else the prices for „Ocean View“ for such Quality are much too high. But there are only 3 Pousadas directly on the Beach in Imbassaí... so not a lot of choices if you want to listen the Waves at Night. Location 5 Stars; Quality 1 Star;...
