Good location right by the river. Clean , comfortable rooms accessed by lift. The Restaurant/ bar is at the top & you need to climb 2 short flights of steps to reach it. There are 2 reception areas , one on the edge of a small plaza which is across the road running parallel to the Amazon river ; another is higher up & level with the Restaurant. There is also a plaza here with views out over the Amazon & a few old cannons. Hence the name " Fortaleza " There is also a wooden tower & some truly revolting public toilets which , fortunately , you will not need to use. The hotel has a large , flat roof , paved & with a couple of tables & chairs which may or may not appear. Good views from here. Opposite the hotel is a pier supporting a large restaurant , gift emporium & here you can also arrange a boat trip up the Amazon & also get to see some varied birdlife & animals such as sloths & monkeys. The boatmen we used were friendly , helpful & knowledgeable. Food in the restaurant is good value & the buffet breakfast excellent & comprehensive. Staff were friendly & helpful. HL, Hotel London...very unusual hotel's name to a place located aside Tapajos River.||The hotel's lobby decoration refers to a London city.. ..Big Bang, London Tower and London Eye poster's are decorating the wall.Rooms are just litle tight when comparing to another similiar one in the city; but new. We stayed at first floor...and to go to restaurant had a breakfast, are complicated: we had to take a elevator to 2º floor( or got by stairs), and walk through rooms's aisle to get the end ,and there , take another elevator, that was in maintenance, got the restaurant by another stair , with each high step...even so, a nice hotel, nice view from hotel's restaurant , specially, a...

Essa é a minha terceira passagem por Santarém, viajando a serviço... Finalmente encontrei um hotel onde eu pudesse passar 31 dias e ao final da temporada, não ter praticamente nada a reclamar. O hotel tem um bom custo benefício, talvez por isso esteja sempre com boa taxa de ocupação. Está localizado na orla, em frente ao rio Tapajós, onde se tem vários pontos de alimentação e descontração. Acredito ser a melhor localização de Santarém para um turista, onde se tem tudo próximo e se pode sair e chegar em qualquer horário com minimos receios quanto a segurança. Os quartos são pequenos, mas, possuem bom isolamento acústico. O hotel possui bom acabamento e o nível de limpeza é bom. Possui banheiro com água quente e chuveiro bom. O café da manhã é variado, de boa qualidade e com horário ótimo, das 06:00 as 10:00. Os funcionários são em maioria, bem educados e prestativos. O restaurante possui uma vista panorâmica do encontro das águas ( Tapajós / Amazonas) e um terraço com vista panorâmica da Orla e do Rio. Como ponto negativo, cito os canais de TV... São apenas 05 canais que mudam constantemente por solicitação dos hóspedes.... Outro fato estranho é a disposição de tomadas no quarto... No meu caso, havia uma tomada no meio da cabeceira, obrigando o fio e o celular ficarem sobre a cama.... Algo perigoso. Para carregar o celular tem que desligar o abajur e não há interruptor em paralelo.... Caso seja necessário, na madrugada Terás que se levantar no escuro. Como em qualquer hotel, possui defeitos que podem desagradar, mas, é o que temos pra agora em Santarém. Resumo: Apesar das observações, o hotel foi aprovado. Na minha escolha de hotel em Santarém, de acordo com minhas hospedagens, são: Hotel London em primeiro, Hotel Sandis Mirante em segundo e Hotel Palace como última opção.
