the best thing going for this place is its friendly owner, the proximity to the MUD beach and beach front location. the problem is that it is very far from Morro town. and all the way at the END of the beach so you have to lug your bag from the pier about 30mins to this place (the walkway ends about 5+mins even before you arrive. Arriving at nighttime is horrible. no lights to know where you are going..you are just walking in the dark in the sand.:(||the place itself is average. run down, needs repair. Owner bundles all backpackers in the same room and just keeps squishing in beds as more people arrive. seems unorganized. 1 broken, noisy & dangerous fan without protective grill for 6 people was not fun. the backyard is a total mess. the shared bathroom in another area had no shelves or mirrors, it was unkept & not always functioning as was the hot water. :(||if you want to be away from everything with few people around, it's Great! If you like a little actions, best to be in Morro. Staying here one had to go by ferry schedule and couldn't stay out late or you couldn't get back(ferries stop)||there were a few family rooms that looked better. Breakfast was ok, Mosquito nets needed & mostly provided. Wifi was off & on. backpacker's room didn't receive it, so that...
Read moreIf you are looking for a relaxing place far from the craziness of Morro, this is your place! It is a nice, rustic hostel, managed by a wonderful lady called Cristina. She makes you feel like home! The Posada is in a island called GAMBOA. You get to the Pousada by boat from Morro de São Paulo, a few minutes trip that costs around 3 or 5 reais. When the tide is low, you can walk to Morro, about 10-15 min walk. Next to the posada you have the Argila Beach where you can use the natural sand to exfoliate your face and body, very nice! There is also a nice little town in Gamboa where you can walk to buy groceries, have something to eat, etc and avoid the boat trip to Morro. Breakfast is very good and although it is supposed to last till 10.30... Cristina will arrange it for you even a few hours later. Important: Don't forget insect repellent and spray to prepare the room for the night!||Thank you Cristina for taking so well of all of us, we really felt...
Eles me indicaram algumas opções. Eles me disseram que bao havia nenhum lugar disponível no local.
