Pousada da Fazenda — Hotel in Região Imediata de Amparo

Pousada da Fazenda was the beginning of a fantastic nature and birding trip for me and a friend from Austria who had never visited Brazil before. By the time we arrived there, it was after 9 in the evening, but the owner was there, waiting for us, cheerful and welcoming. We really couldn't see much as we were directed to our chalet, close to reception. The chalet itself was clean, large and simple, with a bedroom (one queen bed taking up most of the space), a bathroom (good shower) and a sitting / dining room with two extra single beds in a nook, plus TV and fridge. We were well accommodated. ||||After a restful night's sleep, we went for breakfast. This happens in a totally different section of the property, and unless you're up to a brisk morning walk, the quickest way to get there is by driving. The main farmhouse is absolutely stunning, built in the 1890's, with high ceilings, windows and doors, beautiful floors and the ambiance of bygone eras. The dining room faces a patio where feeders (fruit and bottles with sugared water) are laid out. You can enjoy the very nice breakfast, with a good selection of fruit, pastries (some original Italian family recipes), meats and cheeses while looking at the birds outside. ||||A walk around the farmhouse will reveal the place's coffee-growing origins, and that is an interesting trip to the past, well worth taking. They still grow some coffee there -- and it's high quality --, but only a fraction of what was once produced. There is a little chapel with a tilted tower, intentional homage to the tower of Pisa!||||Sitting around the patio with a cup of coffee, nibbling on pastries and observing the birds is an experience I strongly recommend. I spent 2016 Christmas holidays at Pousada da Fazenda for the third time. This is the ideal place fo those who love nature, trees, birds - including lots of humming birds - silence, peace, and also good food, nice people and a place to rebuild the energies. It is an old, and deactivated, coffee farm, that now rent very simple "chalés" (cottages), which are like small houses without a kitchen in the middle of the woods, and they also provide food, lots of good food made using local ingredients, in the old farm house. The roads inside the farm are rough, because they keep the place in rustic condition on purpose, because it is not for running, but for enjoying the nature and the peacefulness of nature. ||Also, they have a small swimming pool, a waterfall in the middle of the woods, which you can visit after going through a narrow track, and also horses, lazy horses, that even the children can ride for having a new adventure.||People that like sounds in high volume or parties and drinking and doing nonsense things, like jumping in the swimming pool with the clothes on, are not welcome there, and would hate to be there. So, if you are this kind of person, do not go there, but if, instead you love nature, silence, peace and good food, Pousada da Fazenda is the place for you. Lugar amigável, cercado por natureza e observação de pássaros que deixam o ambiente encantador. Infraestrutura do chalé ampla e confortável. Porém o chuveiro não estava funcionando em uma temperatura equilibrada (muito quente ou muito gelado). A infraestrutura da fazenda é bem rica e cheia de história, porém o que seria interessante uma explicação mais ampla sobre a parte histórica do ambiente. Resgatando os elementos da imigração italiana como enfoque para chamar atenção para mais pessoas irem até o local. Sobre o café da manhã eu senti falta de mais variedade de frutas e diversidade de alimentos e a falta de diversificação durante os dias. Como a fazenda oferece apenas café da manhã dentro da diária, pensei que seria com mais fartura pelo valor. Não gostei do fato de serem cobrados a parte para ter ovo dentro do café da manhã. Como sou intolerante a lactose, não tive nenhuma opção além do pão francês puro, suco de laranja, café. Mas adorei os alimentos produzidos dentro da fazenda de forma orgânica e natural. Sobre o ambiente, eu esperava um contato maior com animais como cavalos ou outros mamíferos. Porém na região para estudiosos e amantes de fotografia é riquíssimo por estar dentro de uma área de mata distante do centro da cidade de Monte Alegre do Sul. Andando pela mata durante a noite conseguimos observar um cachorro do mato. E o que foi uma experiência muito bacana e rápida. Sobre a área da piscina, estava bem limpa e organizada e com a sauna desativada pela pequena quantidade de funcionários. Os donos foram bem receptivos e amigáveis o que deixou a experiência agradável. Para pessoas que buscam fotografar pássaros o lugar é perfeito, porém para quem busca variedade de alimentação e atividades para usufruir dentro da fazenda na minha opinião foram escassas. Ainda mais em baixa temporada. Para quem quiser aproveitar a cachoeira na fazenda aconselho entrar em contato com a pousada para ver como está a queda d`água, porque em determinadas épocas do ano a vazão de água é pouquíssima e nem vale a pena entrar na cachoeira. Sobre a limpeza dos quartos, aconselho a pousada a avisar no chek-in o horário de limpeza dos quartos para que não ocorra mal entendidos com pertences. Enfim... a experiência de ficar em uma cidade pequena do interior foi bacana, porém sinto que a pousada tem muito a melhorar para agradar os hóspedes e aproveitar a riqueza turística de estar dentro de uma rota gastronômica...
