I travelled to Campinas for work and was recommended to stay at the Ramada. I flew in to GRU airport, but reaching the hotel was not hard if you used a map. Note that there is only one way in which is the gate by John Deere. ||The hotel staff greeted me warmly. My portuguese was very poor, but between their english and my portuguese, we managed to get me checked in. ||Room was not huge, but it was adequate, with a refrigerator, small closet, and a nice bathroom with a shower. I am pleased to report that everything in the hotel was very clean and bright! Room was very quiet-- no real view, but not the reason I was staying there. ||Breakfast was included and was typical european style (bread, meat, cheeses) with some cooked eggs. Best part were fresh pastries brazilian-style, and the brazilian coffee. ||My friends and I did not eat dinner at the hotel, but noted they had a nice buffet each night with some good selections.||Only real downside is location-- great for work, and some nearby lunch restaurants, but only one available at night (Montana Grill). To get to other restaurants would require a taxi or an Uber. Fortunately, we had access to a car which allowed us to travel to some other restaurants. I do not know how responsive Uber would be for short trips to nearby eateries nor would I recommend trying to walk. ||I will stay...

I have requested a "do not disturb" placard from the front desk, which was given to me just on the day of my check-out, after another three requests to different people. Another issue is regarding to the telephone line (room phone). As we tried to call reception (*1), there was a message saying "impossible". It's bizarre, really. A third issue is the check-out balance. It's confusing, because they have offered the dinner payment in advance for some discount, which I did. But it did not appear on the hotel bill we receive via e-mail. It just shows the total, without the detailed balance on the bill, and that is not correct. And it's a big issue for those who have to probe expenses to the company. Another issue was that people were working at the corridor, painting its walls, so that paint smell and noisy people really disturbed all day long. Actually these rooms should not be occupied. But reception staff never mentioned about it...

Sent me to a room that already had people in it , the person was scared as I opened the door. Gave me another room with a better bed as a reward for the mishap . There are definitely better places to stay near the...
