Pousada Pé da Mata — Hotel in Região Imediata de Caraguatatuba-Ubatuba-São Sebastião

We stayed here for three nights the week before New Years. We were two families of four each and so we each rented a chalet that accommodated four. We normally choose beachfront pousadas when visiting the beaches of SP but because this is their busiest week we couldn't find any vacancy and so were pointed to this pousada. And... we are so glad that happened! It was nice to be away from the crowds and noise and craziness of the beach area of Maresias! Especially during this high season. We spent our days at the beach and then came back to relax by the pool with a drink and appetizer by the pool. We used their game room every evening after the pool, playing pool or ping pong! It was really nice to have that game room! We are at their restaurant for dinner on one night and it was good fresh typical Brazilian food. No complaints. The breakfast was also very nice, and included in your stay! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We felt very much at home here. The only negative is their A/C units are old and small and they do not have the ability to cool the entire chalet. I had such a pleasant stay at Pe Da Mata! My impression was really great from the beginning. I contacted them on social, and they were very responsive and immediately showed they were concerned about my experience. The place is family run. Ana, Rose, and Jo are all wonderful and genuinely nice people. It is a family atmosphere. The property is gorgeous. It’s a little off the beaten path, away from town, which I loved. About a 25 min walk from the beach to the resort. It’s better because it’s quiet! The resort is surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is a little more like high end glamping! In the mornings and afternoons, they offer breakfast served by the pool or to your room. They offer delicious homemade breads, cakes, and other assortments. There is a nice waterfall about a ten min walk away, and also bike rentals available. The place is absolutely serene and a nice break from the hectic city life. I couldn’t speak more highly of their establishment. They are taking all the responsible covid protocols too. Just go! They will make you feel like family, and you’ll be in a beautiful...

We had mixed emotions while staying here. It wasnt very friendly, the staff didnt seem too happy to have kids around. The bar restuarant was ´open´ until 20:00. We actually never saw anyone behind the bar and to order you had to track a worker down to order. It is far from the beach on not such a great road. ||You need a car if you want to stay here. The setting is WONDERFUL! The chalets excellent and clean. You can cook yourself and they had all the facilities you needed to do that. The pool is big, lovely and clean. The staff asked our kids to be quiet 2 boys aged 3 & 6yrs. They were just jumping in the pool and we were alone around the pool, so not bothering anyone. The breakfast were nice BUT again the staff not very friendly. We loved Maresias for the beaches , beautiful setting of the Pousada, shame about the unfriendliness.
