Strong point : the couple Gwan and Adriana (see photo ) will let you give VIP treatment . Super hospitable and polite .||If you are going to rest and enjoy nature and the birds of the island this is the place . It is 900 meters from Praia do Veloso (beach) and 1,500 m from the beach in the south of Curral Ilhabela (better beach . Internet is slow indeed across the south of the island . Clean room and good bed to rest .||||The breakfast in the morning has fresh fruit juices and the " bauru " delicious prepared by the collaborators Sonia and Simone ( sisters ) that is close to the pool. Read moreMy wife and I had a perfect 3 days stay at Vila São Pedro, located in the southern part of Ilhabela, near the famous Curral and Feiticeira beach. Gwan's attention to every guest and detail is really impressive, always smiling and making us feel at home, sharing all his knowledge about the island and the best places to go, lending us handfull items like mosquito repelents, beach chairs, DVDs to watch at night and even a portable "cooler" that we used for our water.||Location is a difficult topic to rate, since this can change according to each travelers' interests and conditions. In Ilhabela it is really important to have or rent a car, since the beaches and the Island "vila" are connected by one main road that has aprox. 20 km from south to north. Vila São Pedro's highlight is that you will be at only 5 min drive to Curral, Julião and Feiticeira beach. The Vila (in the north) will be at least some 15-20 min drive, but there are some excelent restaurants like "Nova Iorque" (sea food) in the south if you are looking for something closer and away from the crowds.||The room was very cozy and actually looks better than the pics we saw at the website!||We are looking forward to visiting Ilhabela again and staying at Pousada Vila São Pedro again.||Thank you Gwan for the...
Read moreWe stayed at Vila São Pedro for two nights. We received a warm welcome, were given a good run-down of things we might want to do on the island and allocated a lovely room. The property has sufficient off-street parking and although it's not on the beach it was good to cool off in the pool. We have been travelling in South America for 3 months, staying in accommodation ranging from budget to mid-range. This is THE BEST breakfast we have had so far (no crap coffee, stale bread and jam in sight). Breakfast is served as you like in the restaurant area, by the pool or in your room from 8-11am! I am not a morning person and often miss breakfast hours in other places, but definitely not here. Breakfast consisted of good coffee / hot chocolate and fresh juice. The bread basket was filled with warm - cheese rolls, white rolls, whole grain rolls, quiche and cake. The fruit - half a papaya, a slice of mango and grape was delicious. The ham, cheese, tomato and herb toasted roll was completely filling. We didn't have room for eggs - however you'd like them. It's a shame wifi was working that well. I would definitely...
