My husband and I had a great time at the resort. We do feel there were some points for improvement as well, especially considering the price of our stay that I think are worth offering as feedback.
room was great, spacious and very clean. The shower was excellent, good water pressure and a big bathtub. The bed was also very comfortable. the fitness room (gym) was also very good. Top of the line equipment and a good variety. overall the resort had a very good atmosphere, looked beautiful and well maintained. we enjoyed several activities and the staff made a decent effort to accommodate us gringos who don’t speak Portuguese.
it wasn’t super hot during our stay (22-25 Celsius in the afternoon) and the pools felt cold for this temperature, we didn’t end up using them much because of it. Our private pool was nice and warm when we arrived, but was colder on other days. there were no English or Spanish instructions for any of the activities, not on the map, not on the schedule, on the website or on the tv. None of the reception staff spoke English or Spanish. We understand, we are in Brazil. We are from Europe and speak 5 languages so we managed with using Google Translate and a bit of guesswork, but for a 5 star resort of this size it seems the bare minimum would be some basic translated maps or welcome letter. when we arrived in the room there was a video playing of all the activities the resort has to offer and we were excited to see wake boarding as an option, but upon en uiting at reception this was only available at another location. Same for bowling. we did not feel the quality of the food reflected ‘5 stars’. Yes, there was a lot of it, but it was quantity over quality. The fish prepared by the chef was dry and a lot of the food lacked seasoning and flavor. there are a lot of families in the resort. It was hard to find a quiet spot in the several dining areas. Maybe it’s an idea to keep one of the adults only, we had a screaming toddler in our ear for several meals.
I have some more minor issues that I could share but I understand it already looks like I am someone that’s hard to please! I hope you find my feedback useful for...
