A quite nice and beautiful property, but with lousy management. This is a Roteiro de Charme hotel, but once again in my experiences, lacks charm.

My biggest deal here is the abyss between the beauty of the place and the service provided. The structure is quite beautiful. There are two pools (one semi heated and the other fully heated), there is a bar in the pool, a jacuzzi to relax, a jacuzzi sculpted in stone (really impressive). They have a gym. A sauna with another pool. Trails for hiking very well taken care of. A breathtaking view. This was the recipe for success, right?

Everything goes badly when it comes to service. There is no information provided in a clear manner prior to the arrival. There is no map. There is no communication. They have a tennis court and I brought my gear to play. But no one mentioned to us that the court was on maintenance and could not be used.

Prices are also absurd for the drinks. In a full board acommodation it is annoyingly natural that they try to get money on drinks. But R$7,50 for 300 mL of water? I think my main expense here was water. Period. In addition, there is no special treatment for the guest, since, for instance, they make it very clear: those are your amenities for two days and if you want more we will charge you for that.

The worst part however: service of the waiters. It is not their fault, it is lack of adequate training. Breakfast (that was lousy and made up of only industrialized food, I would like to point out) was a la carte and you had a piece of paper to write down what you wanted... It was written and they never got it right! You would ask for a beer. And then you had to ask again, twice, three times, to obtain your beer. We had a table of 4 and it was common that half of the table was served and the other half just waited for 10 minutes.

Food-wise, I would like to congratulate the chef, that prepared very good meals for lunch and dinner and was very kind on listening to our requests (my baby has allergy to the milk protein, so my wife can't eat any dairy while breastfeeding). Despite the chef being good, the waiters just mess everything up! We make a special request, for instance, dairy free, and they just forget to tell the kitchen about that. I could go on for ours, but sincerely, there are few places with such hype and fame with such a lousy service. Where is management to provide adequate training to the poor workers? Disappointing.

This place has potential to be amazing. But it is no more than average. Mainly for how they prepare themselves to treat the guest. It seems that we were dealing with laziness to provide us a good experience. It could be five stars but the service eats two of them. It could be one star, but the structure saves the place. A borderline three, a solid two and a half.

Lastly, I will just point out two good things: they accept small children and pets and the COVID protocols were acceptable. This is the reason that I would maybe consider coming back. But I'll have to think over and over again before deciding to face the dreadful...

My wife and I spent the weekend at the Confraria Colonial to celebrate both our birthdays which are only 3 days apart. We couldn’t have made a better choice. From the moment we arrived we were spoiled by the staff who treated us like royalty. At the reception, champagne for the wife, cake and coffee for me, and water and treats for the pup. The people who greeted us were extremely kind and helpful. After we dropped our luggage at our room, we were offered a tour around the huge property which is filled with awesome amenities surrounded by beautiful scenery. We did pretty much everything they offer and each experience alone would be worth the trip. From the integrated sauna and pool, outdoor hot tub, heated swimming pools to hiking, fishing and just sitting down and having a drink at the “Endor like” platform surrounded by the Atlantic Forest, we never had a dull moment. The food and drinks would need a special review just for them, but just to summarize I can’t remember when was the last time I ate so well. It’s really high end food with a county touch that just made us craving for more. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all amazing! Before we left, the staff got us a huge cake and sang happy birthday. We cannot wait to go back there. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s an absolutely...

This Hotel is not exuberant in the accommodations, mas very thoughtful and in the service. The rooms and not fancy but clean. The swimming pool is very good, lots of sun, but also shade. Near the pool there is a fuzzball and ping pong table. The hotel was converted from an old country house, with a historical architecture thus providing the charm and charisma.||||The food at lunch and dinner is not restaurant level, but it is good and I don´t expect to be Michelin star. The breakfast is very good; lot variety in breads, cheese and cold meats. You can also have fruit, yogurts, cereals and the usual things. The plus is the making of the omelets by demand. There is also an afternoon tea that I can´t comment because I did not attend.||||Just one more note, the rooms with a view. The view is to the forest, but in the middle there is the passage of the other guests. To see the view the window must be open, but then everyone that passes will also...

A TV do quarto é ótima, SKY completa.

Pontos positivos - Comida sensacional, principalmente do jantar.
