Къща "Стара Македония" — Hotel in Bansko

It's a lovely house in a small village with almost nothing around, perfect for a long weekend with friends! The house is made in a typical revivalist-design style with plenty of space, spacious kitchen and 2 fireplaces.

We really liked the fact that we could fit 17 people in total, including 2 kids. Most of the rooms are spacious and have their own bathroom (except 1 or 2). The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to get your cooking game going.

Now, the not so positive things. The heating is just awful! It has its own brain and it does not obey any instructions! It's a big system which was self-tailored from wood-based heating to pellets-based one which on theory sounds great, however it's not really working! We had to call the woman who takes care of the house like 20 times and she came over twice to fix it. In addition, the hot water is connected to the heating system so you cannot even take a shower! Please spend the time to train the housekeeper how to use this 'sophisticated' piece of machinery or make it possible to control it remotely (not with a thermostat that you have to put in the fridge so it starts working).

Some rooms had flies inside which were very annoying not to mention the ugly ceiling. They are noisy and obstruct your sleep, please either fix this or just don't rent out those rooms!

Even though the kitchen is big there are 2 major issues with it: the fridge is just too small for such a large group of people and the same applies for the dish washer.

Even though we asked 3 times for the internet, the housekeeper just told us 'I don't know why it's not working'. Needless to say, this is very unprofessional and if the owners state that there is internet, we expect to receive the service we are promised.
