Guesthouse Bedrock — Hotel in Belogradchik

😊: The location is pretty peaceful. The room was very spacious, clean and with lots of electric points. There were bean bags as also a dining table to complete the set up. The bathroom was clean and was quite large. The check in & check out was pretty smooth. Pool, though small, served as a respite during the hot afternoon. Common kitchen cum dining room was quite spacious & adequately clean with essential utensils. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here.. 😢: Few minor things need to be taken care of here... There was ongoing roadworks due to which the road was closed for vehicles. We came to know about this after reading latest reviews & enquired with the host who sent us a link for nearby free parking lot from where the guest house was just 4 minutes walking distance. Though roadworks is no fault of the host, we would have appreciated upfront feedback from the host rather than we enquiring about it. Regarding check in, we didn't receive any instructions from the host & when we called him after reaching the guest house, he informed us about the room no. allotted to us. Had we been not able to connect with him, it would have been really difficult because there is no check in desk. The bathroom needs a bit of ventilation after you have taken a bath else it smells for some time. Maybe an exhaust fan would help. Other than these minor issues, our stay was very enjoyable. We stayed here unexpectedly as our original guest house was having some water problems so he suggested we stay here. Can't say I was disappointed. The location was closer to the city center which made it a little bit easier to access certain facilities (bank, market, restaurants) within 200m of the house. The room itself was very nicely presented. Wifi signal was very strong and very fast. The guest house is at the end of an alley (dead end), so easy parking and no traffic passes, hence very quiet in an already very quiet town. Had no problems with sleeping here! 😊: The best accommodation in Belogradchik for sure and one of my favourite stays in Europe! Where to start..

The room was super clean and comfortable, the AC worked well and it had a balcony with a view of the pool and the rocks/fortress area! The 'rock' pool was also really clean with a small waterfall, so refreshing and peaceful.

The shared kitchen was well-equipped and had lots of space for eating/drinking inside and out.

The location was perfect, so close to nice restaurants, the panoramic viewpoint and not far from the fortress.

The host was very communicative and helpful. They helped me book a taxi to and from the train station and told me about local events happening during my stay (a Bulgarian rock concert at the fortress!)
