Quite disappointed, perhaps due to the high expectations built by the high ratings and high pricing. The hotel is located at a picturesque place, which is very difficult to access by car. We were "surprised" right from the check-in, finding there are not enough rooms for us despite the confirmed and partially prepared reservation. The staff, although trying their best is way under-qualified and insufficient in number to deal with even a simple problem. It took them 2 hours to get our stuff in the rooms. Instead of 3 double rooms we were given 1 room and 1 two room apartment / maisonette, in which we were afraid to walk as one can hear everything. The restaurant was the only place to eat on walking distance. Prices equal to the country capital averages, some of the meals really delicious, but it was taking ages to be served - again under-staffing was causing huge waits. The included breakfast was varied and I'd say delicious but it starts only at 8:30 a.m., by which time we should have been out in the mountain and by the end of the breakfast sessions some of the meals just finished ... The price was said to include additional spa services, but I could not find any value in using steam bath, sauna etc. in the middle of the summer. It was only the outdoor jacuzzi, which made some sense during our stay. Overall, a very good establishment with really poor service at e really high price. We will never go...
Read moreStayed here for 3 nights in October.||The location- beautiful nature and stunning views, but to get there you need to drive around 9km on a single lane mountain road with oncoming traffic, which was quiet the challenge.||The room- clean but a bit on the small side. Our room was facing the parking, so it was quite noisy. There were also families with small babies that used to spend their evenings on the shared veranda, which doesn't help the guests that want to rest.||Food-|Homemade ingredients and good food. The breakfast with the mekitsi was great.||Things to do-|We went to the Eagle's eye by foot from the hotel. It can take you about 1h to get there if you don't make much stops. There are horses right next to the hotel and you vet a discount to ride as a hotel guest. There are some caves around, but we decided to skip them.||Staff - A little spaced at times, but always polite and friendly.||Indoor activities -|There is table tennis, but the table itself is in a small room that appears to be used for storage and for drying laundry. |There was also a half broken table footbal and a kids pool table with just two balls left.||*The outdoor jacuzzi is in the middle of the path that leads to all the rooms and it's fairly small, so we didn't use it. The spa facilities also looked quite small and there was always someone in there, so we skipped that as well.||All in all it's an ok place for a quick...
Read moreHotel is beautiful, clean and tidy. The location is perfect- close to Eagle Eye’s spot, Yagodinska Cave, Devil’s Throat Cave, Trigrad and many more. The view from the hotel is one of a kind. It has a playground where my kids enjoyed from breakfast till late dinner. The food is so good and comes in large portions- local yoghurt, cheese, milk, honey and marmalade, lamb from the oven, black berry compot- everything was so delicious. The staff are the friendliest and calmest people i’ve met so far. Mitko and the whole team were answering all our questions and needs with patience and made us feel at home. Some speak English too. There is also a horse riding right after Trigrad with the team of Miro Oblaka- all were very patient and friendly there too. This holiday was unique and definitely we will be back to Hotel Mursal but this...
