I agree, this hotel is a complete joke. I can’t comprehend how a place providing services can hire people who fail to communicate in english… We tried to cancel one of the nights of our stay, had to talk with the receptionist through google translate, she told us to wait for a reply on booking, because no one is working today and the next day - it was some sort of holiday - so no one will be able to talk to us, no chance of getting a refund. Finally we didn’t get the cancelation so we stayed. The breakfast was good the first day, the second day it was okay, I could tell the croissants were from the dag before. The only good thing about it was the fresh orange juice.
The rooms were tiny. Our shower cabin lacked the door so after every shower the floor was wet. There was no ventilation in the bathroom so we had to wipe it with our towels. The beds were comfortable and there was air conditioning - the only pluses.
If you don’t have a car - don’t book this hotel, public transport is okay but nothing is in english and no one is going to help you - the hotel is too far from the center and getting anywhere is a challange.
To sum up: if you are a bulgarian - perfect hotel for you, if you are from anywhere else - find...
Read moreThis hotel is a joke for customers coming from outside Bulgaria. First of all, it is hard for me to imagine how the management of this hotel thinks that you can serve breakfast until 9:30 at the latest.... when you are on vacation, the time you spend should be relaxing, not like when you run a marathon.
Second, how is it possible that no one speaks a bit of English?..there should be a big ad on Booking to inform people that this hotel is EXCLUSIVELY FOR BULGARIANS.
Basically, we lost the breakfast we paid for, because the receptionist does not speak English, she did not inform us that breakfast is until 9:30. It's a schedule as stupid as can be.. I've never encountered such a schedule and communication problems at any hotel.
Speaking an international language as a receptionist is not an advantage, it is an obligation. I would also add the fact that the towels smelled strange, I didn't think they were very clean and neither did the room.
More attention should be paid to customers and their needs... after all they come and pay for all these services, they don't...
Read moreIt took us a little while to find the hotel and when we arrived in the area, I felt a little apprehensive. However, the check in was fine and Bobby on reception was great. The rooms are spotless and I felt very comfortable staying here. My husband and I were the only ones staying for breakfast and there was plenty to eat. This hotel cost us £20 Sterling per night, I mean, come on, what a deal. I would be more than happy to stay here again and would highly recommend the hotel. Excellent wifi throughout the hotel. This hotel was fully refurbished a year ago. A lovely restaurant 200 yards away (Cherry) and for £16 we had so much food and drink. The waitress spoke good English which helped enormously although some hand gestures also were used and we did try to communicate in Bulgarian which we gave up on! The area appears a little run down but PLEASE don't be put off by that. The main shopping mall is in walking distance with some nice shops...
