We held our wedding there and our experience with the hotel is not valid for every visitor, mostly because we needed to deal with the organization with them and their staff. We left with very mixed feeling from the place, therefore I am still not sure if I will recommend it. ||||On the one hand, the location is beautiful and so are the vineyards. The hotel facilities are very well sustained and quite new, the spa is lovely, so all very pretty. The food of the hotel is very tasty indeed, and the wines are great.||||On the other hand, the hotel lacks customer service attitude or supportive mindset . We felt like we were any other cash cow, which was milked and we were the next one on the commercial assembly line for weddings. We needed to pay or rent every single piece of furniture and detail (which usually is expected to be default e.g. table napkins).||||As the wedding couple, we received a compliment - a ‘wedding planner’ , which was an absolute joke - it was a person who was replying to my mails, which would have been needed either way and pushed a lot of work back to us - we needed to deal with all the accommodation for the guests, room arrangements and the such. When I asked for a joint table/summary of all the services we are going to be paying at the end, the answer from her was : this is something you need, so do it yourself. The ‘wedding planner’ didn’t even show up on the wedding day (or for the least send us best wishes). Moreover, she didn’t show any proactivity and for everything we wanted, I needed to interrogate her since the answers were usually a one-liner. If I would try to call her, if I were lucky I would be able to reach her after a few calls since she never returned back any of them or at least drop a text that she was busy or couldn’t talk. One of the times, I called her 6 times in two days and only then she replied- I am having holidays. When we requested an offer for the decoration, she didn’t even want to hear out what we wanted and just sent an offer with the images from my own research.||||On the wedding day itself, they informed us of rules, which they had ‘forgotten’ to let us know, so we needed to improvise with quite a few of the situations. For example they told us that the firework show, (which is definitely NOT a 5 min setup) could only happen before 23.00 o’clock and they let us know at 22.45 …||||From the hotel, they were not even bothering to explain the guests what is where (the hotel complex has a quite scattered landscape of buildings), so the guests were helping each other how and what is where.||||On the day of leaving, the hotel immediately went in the rooms to check and accused some of the guests of stealing two kitchen knives in front of all the other people at the reception (WOW, SERIOUSLY WOW), as if they were the cheapest thieves in the place, which was an extremely humiliating situation for our guests!!!!||||We also were ‘taxed’ for a lot of food and drinks - some of those never showed up during the wedding day (e.g. 12 year old whisky bottle) or some of them were still full in their fridges and gave them to us upon quite some insisting. Some of them were never given back to us (e.g. all the Spanish delicacies we brought ourselves from Spain and were still leftover at the end of the wedding night).||||In general, I’d really say if you care about customer service and support, think a few times before organizing anything there. I am sure if you are just a tourist enjoying the wine, you will...

On the one hand, the location is beautiful and so are the vineyards. The hotel facilities are very well sustained and quite new, the spa is lovely, so all very pretty. The food of the hotel is very tasty indeed, and the wines are great.
On the other hand, the hotel lacks any customer service attitude or supportive mindset of any kind. Read morePlease note this negative review is based on my high expectations for Midalidare Hotel & Spa and my experience from 5* hotels at Bulgaria and around. Well, this is NOT 5* hotel.
At first the negatives, later few positive points: upon arrival I was expecting piccolo, but such service is not available no complimentary water, fruits, whatsoever the so called minibar at the room contains just 2 bottles of water and one small bottle of wine poor bathroom amenities. One type of shampoo for both body and hair. at 7pm we were out of hot water for around 30 minutes at the SPA there is no water dispenser, they will charge you 2lv. for each bottle of water. You are allowed to use one free towel, for each additional they are asking for 2lv. food at the restaurant was fine, but nothing special. Service was average. We were group of 7 people and made large bill ordering some of their finest bottles of wine /good wines indeed!/. We were expecting the waiter to fill up our glasses of water from time to time, but this wasn't their type of service. the GYM is situated at different building, some 100 meters from the main with no connection between them. It was not pleasant to reach it and come back after some training at -4 degrees at 8.00am breakfast was average. Lack of diversity. now the main disadvantage. Please, if you still decide to go and need proper sleep, AVOID apartment №101. Me and my wife could hardly sleep because our apartment is situated above the ventilation and heating system. The noise was constant and quite irritating. This was not a noise from A/C unit at the room, but from huge device below. I presume the other rooms are quiet, but mine were not! At the morning I complain at the reception asking for other apartment / room. They said they are fully booked. The receptionist was aware of this problem, she told me: "Yes, there is noise, but nothing serious..." Well for me it was the reason sleep only 5 hours, from 2am to 7am. I couldn't suffer another bad nigh, so I decided to leave the hotel. We should stay 2 night, but spend just one. Few positives: the apartment, the gym and spa - everything is new, seems like the hotel has just been opened. beautiful nature, calm and isolated place the scrambled eggs at the breakfast were excellent Sorry, no more positives.
I would never visit that...
