The Lavender Lodge — Hotel in Chirpan

The Lavender Lodge is experience so different from what we are used to. It is cozy, it is beautiful, it feels so special and it was like we were at home with family. Our host Caroline was amazing, so gentle, so thoughtful and helpful in everything. Her hospitality is next level. She knew we are with kid, so she bought for him puzzle and chalks, she gave him vegetables everyday, so he can go and feed the chickens and she was always caring if he has everything he maybe will need. She doesn’t mind if he is running around in the garden or yelling or making mess, she was so so sweet and great with him. He even called her granny, because he thought of her like she is family. The breakfasts and suppers are homemade by her with things from her garden and eggs from her chickens, and everything was absolutely delicious. When an Irish lady makes you Moussaka and after that you lick your fingers, you know you are on the perfect place. The house and the garden are like paradise. Everything feels so special there, every corner is a little surprise. The house has everything you will need. Comfortable beds, sitting areas in the garden, dining area, place for a bbq, kitchen, bath, wi-fi, sun-beds in the garden. The village is very nice for walks. In the area in about one hour drive are so many things to do - museums, pools, wine tasting, monuments, sweet villages, places for picnic and walks etc. Caroline organised for our kid to go and ride a pony with her friend in a village 45min away and it was amazing experience. I can write all day for this place, but you should go and see and feel everything on your own. Caroline, thank you for your hospitality, for the opportunity to meet you and know you. To anyone reading the review section; Do not hesitate to book your stay at the Lavender Lodge! We cannot begin to describe how amazingly we were treated with so much love and care. From the second we arrived to the moment we left, Caroline made us feel very special. We chose to dine in two nights in a row at the lodge and twice we ate in the beautiful rustic outside kitchen. Temperatures are dropping in this time of year, so each time we got back, she had the fire going for us outside and it was just such a romantic site to see. It made our hearts filled with appreciation. The dinners were delicious and cooked with local produce and organic vegetables from her own garden, which is just what we love. Even the wine was local and if you've never tried Bulgarian wine; It's a must! The breakfast had freshly baked bread, eggs from the chickens, homemade jam and quality butter!! The host Carline was so friendly and accommodating. She left the essentials for us on arrival (including a beer 😀) and couldn’t do enough to make us feel comfortable. She also communicated with us before the trip providing details on shops in the area, exact location, etc. which was very helpful.

We opted for the meal which was delicious - Caroline basically cooked exactly what we asked for and it was the best meal we had during our travels of Bulgaria. The breakfast was also delicious. Everything was fresh and organic.

The area is so nice and peaceful surrounded by nature. Caroline has a beautiful garden and seating area which was very nice for relaxing during our stay.
