I have very mixed feelings about Arkan Han. The location is absolutely stunning and the hotel itself is beautiful — built in a traditional Bulgarian style, it truly reflects the charm of Trigrad. The village is magical, and we were excited to return here with friends.

Unfortunately, our experience was deeply tainted by the behavior of the management. We booked four apartments and were shocked by how rudely we were treated by the manager, Hristo, and his wife. Hristo spoke to us not like we were guests, but in a condescending, almost aggressive way — as if we owed him something. He used phrases like “When you speak to me, look me in the eyes,” which is simply unacceptable and unprofessional. We felt disrespected and uncomfortable throughout our stay.

What’s most upsetting is that I had my wedding at this hotel 9 years ago and used to have fond memories of the place. Now, I regret ever having chosen it. Terrible experience! We drove for 3 hours to this highly recommended place, only to find out that they didn’t have a room for us, even though Booking.con had confirmed our reservation. Well, fine… stuff happens, but this man (picture attached) was such a jerk to us for no reason. I still don’t understand why he was yelling at us right from the start when we walked in. To top things off, I found out from another employee on our way out, that he is the property manager!! OMG, LOL! Run and hide, what a bitter taste we got from this absolute jackass. Do not take a chance coming here.

To the property owner: if you care about this situation, you should send your property manager to a customer service course, then he should write us a heartbreaking apology letter for mistreating us. Alternatively, you can ship him back to the pig farm where he crawled out from....
