The worst experience ever! Me and my family were coming back from Greece and it was late at night and we've decided to stay here. The ugliest place we've ever been to. The rooms are dirty, stinky and abominable. I came to the front desk few times with a request to change the room, the front desk gave me the key, but it was dirtier than the first one. Then I asked to change the beddings, because they were dirty with lots of fresh stains. The personal didn't want to change it and said, that there's no problem. There's no option to pay with card. Absolutely horrible place. The room was freezing cold and the aircon barely worked. We paid extra for the room with the balcony and bath but there was no hot water (we tried in the evening and again later at night and in the morning) and the balcony is a sad little extra room with a window, definitely not a balcony. The lift is terrifying and the the wifi hardly worked. When it did, it was pretty much unusably slow. The breakfast was this sad little plate of food with stale bread, you don't even get to decide, it's just given to you. There is also word Angelina Jolie stuff everywhere, super strange. Gorna Oryahovica is a mid-size town of about 30,000 inhabitants that is a transportation hub in North-Central Bulgaria. It is also an agricultural center and a good stopping place that is within about 6 miles from the Arbanasi touristic attractions. Hotels are modest (2-3) and the Rahovets hotel is a good 3-star hotel, with an undistinguished architectural style (Communist utilitarian) and modest, minimally furnished rooms that offer the bare necessities.
