Villa Ekaterina — Hotel in Ihtiman

With my fiance we booked Villa Ekaterina for our wedding in May 2022.||We signed a contract as well as gave a deposit.||Few days after we "legally arranged" our wedding at Villa Ekaterina, the manager Stoyan Tonchev called us to inform us that our wedding was off because another couple who allegedly had taken and cancelled our date before has actually not cancelled anything in reality. Stoyan Tonchev wanted to cancel our contract and return us the deposit.||I know, the situation sounds absurd, but let me get into more details.||We asked Villa Ekterina to return us the deposit multiplied by 2 because based on their contract if they cancel a contract they owl twice the deposit - it is well written in the contract we signed.||However Mr Tonchev disagreed and told us that they will hold both weddings - mine and the other couple' in one day!||We said that this is unacceptable and they cannot do this!||Well, seems like they can because in the contract there is no clause stating that more than 1 wedding cannot be held in Villa Ekaterina for the same day.||Beware - the owners of Villa Ekaterina are interested only in money and don't have about customer satisfaction or good user experience. Also the beds were very comfortble and the breakfast on the next day was delicious. We were so happy that we have chosen villa Ekaterina over another location.
