FRIENDS VILLA — Hotel in Kardzhali

We chose this hotel because it is near the Womb Cave. Our visit is during the shoulder season so the area is not busy. The weather is cool and sunny, the air mountain fresh. ||Very small modern hotel well decorated with large reception dining area. Rooms are larger than average for Bulgaria. The room we stayed in was delightful, nice balcony, great water pressure and like the rest of the property selflessly clean.||The young women who was at reception was very welcoming and she made the 1 night experience perfect. She offered background of the area and answered all our questions. Rooms are clean and enough for 2. The menu in the restaurant is a little bit strange: two types of risotto and three pastas and only three fishes! Almost no meat. No local specialties. The service was terrible, we have to ask for table outside, as everything was reserved and nobody told us when we checked in that we should make reservation. The waiter bring us wrong wine, but as bottle was already opened, his manager said he could not change it! A beautifully designed and tastefully decorated hotel with the most helpful staff who's English is excellent!
