Evrika Hostel — Hotel in Kostinbrod

Travellers, beware of this place and this city !

With my friend, I was travelling across Bulgaria and we ended up in Kostinbrod by the night. We weren't advised of how creepy this place is and we started looking for a hotel. People in the streets were looking strangely at us but we didn't pay attention. As experienced travellers, we know that backcountry people can be surprised to see us wandering around. The problematic thing is the menacing way it was done but anyways.

We called this hotel to know about their rates and vacancy. We got someone on the phone when we called and he could speak some english ; he asked us to wait a minute for an answer then hung up on us. No aswer to our calls after that. As it was getting dark, we were a bit desperate and still tried to walk to the place in hope of finding somewhere to sleep. We were welcomed by a dozen of fat, sweaty and shirtless turkish men, in a cigarette-smoke-saturated atmosphere. The men started to gather around us and used google translate to ask us 50€ per person in order to let us sleep in the hostel -whîch we kindly denied. Then they pretended that there had been a translation mistake and that it was 15 per person. We just ran off anyways.

It was the middle of the night, we were stranded in kostinbrod with nowhere to sleep. We could do nothing but to sleep on a bench waiting for the sun to come back so we did just that. In the middle of the night, we felt huge vibrations across our makeshift beds. Coming back to my spirits, I realized that what had woke me up was in fact rocks thrown at us from the distance by a bunch of cowards dressed as hoolingans with their face fully covered. We managed to escape while these little insects kept screaming like ridiculous dogs trying to look big.

Avoid this city, avoid the people there. Avoid all...

Мястото е доста приятно, чисто, тихо, през зимата е топло, собствениците реагират доста бързо ако има някакъв проблем(много рядко се случва да има такъв). Идеално място за преспиване, ако пътувате по работа или просто си търсите къде да нощувате, без значение дали за ден, седмица или месец. В стаите има хладилник, телевизор, Wi-Fi, маса, столове, гардероб и закачалки, баня и тоалетна. В общите помещения има и пералня. Разполагат и с кафе автомат, така че тези които не могат без кафе сутрин ще могат да му се насладят, без да налага да излизат от сградата. В близост има ж.п. гара, хранителен магазин, фастфууд за привърженитиците на дюнерите и бургерите, но винаги може и да си поръчате храна...

В никакъв случай нормален човек да не отсяда там. Всичко е пропито от миризма на цигари, стени, завивки, възглавници... - не може да се диша и да се спи. В коридора са паркирани смърдели обувки на някакви странни субекти и мирише тях из цялото общежитие. Лятото всички врати бяха отворени за да се разхлаждат и от вън се виждаха голи тумбаци по леглата. Шум от музика и моабети до посред нощ. От улицата пак се чува страшен шум от всевъзможни превозни средства. Да не говорим, че като пристигнеш няма кой да те настани - чакахме поне половин час да се появи някой. Не може да се плати с карта. На по-ужасно място не съм спала. Не...
