I don't really recommend this place.
ROOMS: The rooms were dirty. I'm not even sure they were cleaned? There were crumbs on the floor from the previous guests. There was also an ant infestation in our room, and a bunch of stuff was broken - most of the outlets, the shower door, the chair. Two of the beds in the tripple room were very comfy. The third one was very much not comfy. At least there was good sound isolation.
FOOD: We were here on Easter and we had paid for a holiday lunch but half the food ran out in the first 45 minutes. In general, food running out at the buffet was a problem at most meals. The one meal that we ordered individually they forgot half of our order. There were also no vegan options before Easter which was weird to me? Basically every dish had meat in it
STAFF: The staff wasn't very nice. The day we arrived we found cleaning tools and toilet paper thrown all around the corridor and the cleaning ladies yelling at each other.
ACCESSIBILITY: The elevator is scary. Every time it starts or stops it vibrates and makes loud noises. One time when I stepped into it it fell down a little bit. It also stopped working on our 2nd night here and I had to walk 6 flights up the stairs. The outside wheelchair lift doesn't work. It seems pretty wheelchair accessible on the inside (lots of ramps). Although I don't think there's a way to reach the mineral water pool with a wheelchair.
SPA: There's one pool, one sauna, one steam room, one jacuzzi (that fits 3 ppl). Despite that it wasn't crowded so I'm happy...
Read moreThe hotel is situated near the woodlands of Kyustendil which makes it the perfect location. One issue that we did have was trying to find the hotel. There aren’t any signs in the city Center to guide us instead we had to rely on Google Maps the whole time. At other hotels that we have visited, there has always been signs. In terms of food, there aren’t a lot of variety which makes it hard to choose. Another thing that was disappointing was the attitude of some of the staff in the restaurant. They were very unfriendly and unwelcoming. At lunchtime, we ordered something and it never arrived but once the bill came, it was listed as if we have received. Things like this made our stay a little bit unenjoyable. Another thing to mention is there was no signs on the different foods when we went to have dinner and breakfast which made it confusing as we didn’t know what the food was. (It’s a buffet) The rooms of the hotel are are good but definitely not 4 stars as the hotel claims to be. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are probably the best part of the hotel! It’s mineral water that comes from the Kyustendil region which is nice.
Overall, we liked hotel and will come back but if the things I mentioned get fixed, the hotel will become...
Read moreIt is a truly great location. You will be 10-15 minutes from the city center, yet higher in altitude, next to a forest and away from any city noise. Literally the only industrial noise I was exposed to were the aircon compressors. This is an old hotel from the communist times that has been renovated cheaply a while ago and is slowly starting to fall apart. Still in acceptable condition with no major issues to report. The room was clean. The bathroom has hot water and so on. The sauna/steam bath/jacuzzi were all operation. The outdoor pool is nice. Very relaxing due to the "green location". Especially when not fully populated. My only major complaint was the breakfast! Worst I've had I a long time. Just basics. Nothing extra and all the baked good we're cold and stale. Really low quality and no effort whatsoever. It not really great for families. There is a kid's corner that is only good enough to get a check mark as "we have that". Than there is the pool and that is it. Don't expect anything in the shape animation etc. I would say the hotel is better suited to adults...
