HORROR HOTEL - Stay away if you want to stay ALIVE!||I escaped alive from hotel Valor in Montana - and I was very lucky.|Initially, I thought what happened was just bad luck. But I made photos of the bathroom and upon later inspection I concluded what happened was no coincidence at all. Looks like there is a psychopath at work here, somebody who wants to kill someone and make it look like an accident. ||I arrived wednesday 28. August 2024. The hotel is new and looks nice. It was quiet, there where only a few guests. I was assigned room 303 on the top floor. The next morning I took a shower around 8 o'clock. I closed the bathroom door. I didn't lock it. After I finished showering I pushed the door handle to open the door but the door didn't open...||(What I found out later: the latch bolt only worked when you pushed the door handle from the outside. The door handle on the inside didn't move the latch bolt - see photo)||I thought: I am going to kick in this door. I am tall - 1.93 and nearly 100 kg - and I did martial arts, so I know how to kick. But there was a bad surprise: the door was made of steel AND the door is a cover door, meaning the door covers the seams between the door and the steel door frame, like a lid on a box. So my kicks had no impact at all.||In the upper corner on the wall there was an electric ventilator that sucked the air out of the bathroom. Meanwhile there was no ventilation grid in the bathroom to let any air come in. The ventilator could not be switched off from inside the bathroom and the engine was far away from the bathroom so I cound't destroy it either. ||This was a small bathroom, about 2 x 2 meters wide and 2.20 meters high, so I immediately realized the danger of suffocation and I started to scream as loud as I could. No reaction... After all the hotel was very quiet the previous night.| |I kept screaming and shouting for help for maybe 5 minutes while at the same time banging on the walls, but all I heard was my own voice bouncing back from the bathroom tiles. ||In search for fresh air I ripped the toilet cover plate from the wall, in hopes that the wall would be hollow. I couldn't see if that was the case, all I saw was a black hole. ||Next I ripped the cover plate from the ventilator. I soaked a towel and started to push it into the ventilator hole in an attempt to stop the air from being sucked out of the bathroom. ||But then I realized that ventilator shafts are like pipes connecting rooms with each other. So I pulled out the towel, stood on my toes and started to shout into the ventilator shaft as loud as I could. And then I heard somebody shouting back, thank God! ||A few minutes later I heard someone entering my hotel room and moments later I was freed by the man who had heard me, a Bulgarian who stayed in a room on the same floor but on the other side of hallway.||You may think this was just a case bad luck, a malfunctioning latch bolt. So did I, initially. But consider this:|1) If a wood bathroom door is perfectly fine (like in almost every other hotel), why would a commercial business like a hotel spend at least 10 times as much on a steel door with a steel frame?||2) Upon inspection of the photos I noticed there were rubber insulation strips on the door cover. Meaning, the door was made completely airtight. Why would someone make a bathroom airtight while there is a ventilator on the opposite wall sucking the air out? ||THE OWNER OF THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE IN JAIL. At least for gross negligence...

I stopped here on the way from Bucharest to Sofia. I’ve been living in hotels around Europe for the past two months while traveling for work trying to keep the budget around 100 Euros per night. This was by far the most spacious room I’ve encountered and the price was well below 100 Euros.

Pros: The receptionists were very friendly when we arrived. The bed was comfortable. It was easy to connect the tv to my Netflix account. We were a little late checking out due to an unexpected zoom business meeting. The staff were extremely gracious about it and did not rush us at all. The room had a very modern set up.

Cons The bathroom didn’t have an enclosed shower and was quite small overall. We had to prepare the comforters ourselves (not sure if that was a mistake on their end). The breakfast was slightly disappointing. For example, this was the first place I’ve stayed in Europe so far that didn’t have cappuccinos or croissants for breakfast.

For a 3-star hotel, this was a fantastic find. This was about 2 hours away from Sofia and I wouldn’t hesitate to...

I had an excellent experience at this hotel, which exceeded our expectations. We traveled as a group of 7 people and checked in at 4 AM. The receptionist was very professional and welcomed us kindly. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, offering great comfort. A useful tip: if you're a group of 3, request room 303, which has three separate beds—perfect for such groups.

A special touch at the hotel is that along with your coffee, you're given a small note with a surprise message. Mine said "Love," which made my morning even nicer. Additionally, if you're traveling with an electric car, there are two 22 kW charging stations right next to the hotel. For families with children, there's an outdoor playground near the terrace, making the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was varied and tasty, satisfying everyone's preferences.

One small thing to keep in mind: the staff doesn't speak English very well, but this didn’t cause us any significant issues. We will definitely return to this hotel on...

The bedroom was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was quite luxurious. There is airconditioning that works well and is quiet. The breakfast buffet was simple but nice, including tea and coffee, orange juice, bread, vegetables, cheeses, yogurt, musli, little cheese pastries etc. There is a supermarket just across the street. The only thing is that there is construction site just behind the building that started construction mid morning.
