This is the first holiday I’d booked to go away with my Mother for a few years and given the alleged “Ultra inclusive” status, we went ahead and booked.|On arrival, we were met by unhelpful reception staff who stated we didn’t need an extra room key, but had given another Bulgarian couple 2 keys. We didn’t think much of it at the time.|Room was basic, views lovely however. AC worked but the electrics tripped most days preventing the lights from working.|The bedding was dirty, mattresses filthy and my mother and I often got bitten. |The bathroom was not cleaned as often as it should have been, rarely did we have towels changed. Basic job most days but thankfully we aren’t messy pups! |We had bottled water given to us every day, which was good because for an ultra inclusive that’s all we were given in the mini bar. |The beach itself is lovely but like every other review you have to pay for use of the umbrella and sunbeds separately. Very poor for ultra all inclusive. I find myself saying that often! |The pool itself is fine, but there is rubbish around the poolside which is often left and not cleaned or maintained. Wasps around the drinks section and the bar itself around the pool is not clean either. |Gym you have to pay for daily, so if you were there for a week you’re looking at around £35 for the 7 days use, being gym users ourselves, this was hugely disappointing. |The staff are unhelpful generally and we found we were often spoken to poorly and/or not given the time of day. Whether they didn’t understand English or not we don’t know, but it was apparent to us that we were being treated massively differently. Which is a shame, we are definitely far too polite in England that’s for sure! |The only members of staff who were helpful was the towel man who gave us directions on how to get to the boat across to Nesebar, always greeted us in the morning and was a pleasure to talk to and Bramon the young lad at the bar, who took time to speak to us and often brought drinks to us and played games. |Overall, a very sad state of affairs at this hotel. Lack of entertainment and the animation team were less than to be desired. Lack of enthusiasm generally and very unsure what the staff across the hotel were being paid to do given that they spent all of their time on their mobiles instead of addressing the needs of the guests. |I’m not usually one for writing reviews, but as a 30 year old, sociable female who wanted a “luxury” type relaxing break, this was sadly, very disappointing and I’d advise others to consider going closer to Sunny Beach, especially if you wanted the atmosphere, working lights, variety of food and a better sense of inclusion. Or pay more and go further afield for proper luxury. |The potential for this hotel is massive but the staff need to step up, be more professional and take pride in where they work. Too many staff, not a...
Read moreHotel Review The hotel’s rating dropped from 9.1 in July to 8.4 in September on Booking..com, with the number of reviews reduced from 1500 to around 500—likely after fake reviews were removed. This is not a 5-star property; at best, it deserves 3 stars. The hotel is not suitable for families with small children. There are many steep stairs, slopes, and sharp corridor edges, which make it unsafe and easy for kids to fall. The kids’ club is extremely poor. Staff show no interest in engaging with children. Instead of activities, they handed out unsharpened pencils and used sheets of paper, while five staff members just sat around chatting. Reception staff were unhelpful, and the manager was never present in person, only available by phone. Despite traveling with a 3-year-old, we were given one of the noisiest rooms, overlooking a restaurant (supposed to be a park view, according to Booking..com). The restaurant played loud music and stayed open until 2 a.m. When we asked for a room change, they immediately refused, claiming nothing was available. Only after we showed them available rooms listed online did they agree to switch us—but only for an additional fee for a sea-view room. Elevators are slow and queues are long, even though we visited in mid-September, not during peak season. Beach umbrellas and sunbeds can only be paid for in cash, with no nearby ATM. The only option to withdraw money was through the hotel shop, which charges a €5 fee. The wine served was cheap and unpleasant from ugly barrel. Carpets in the corridors were dirty, and some towels had stains. Wallpapers were peeling off in several areas. Windows are not soundproof at all—you can hear everything happening outside. Rooms only had a kettle and cups—no tea, coffee, or even a spoon. Balcony lights stayed on until 11 p.m., and the curtains were smaller than the windows, letting in light at night and in the morning. There was no clear information in the room on how to contact reception. Both the main restaurant and rooms had a noticeable smell of smoke. Actually you can feel smell of smoke everywhere, and plenty people are smoking a lot on the beach. There was no toothbrush holder in the bathroom—we ended up using toilet paper as a holder. Is this really what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel? No smart TV—no YouTube or Netflix. The relaxation and massage area looked neglected, almost like it was after a war. No bathrobe, no slippers in the room. Overall, the hotel feels like a slightly upgraded post-Soviet property, far from international 5-star standards.
What I liked: Sea view. Food was okay. Outside playground for kids. Beach was okay-ish (but with same single...
Read moreFirst of all, this hotel is not 5 stars, and is very far from being considered, even 2 stars, being very generous.||Employees do not speak any other language than the native language and to make matters worse they communicate with each other in front of you and make you feel embarrassed at all times, and a situation that I have never experienced in your entire life. English is not the option and you will feel foolish by all staff members. ||Breakfast with the same options every day and the bar team literally pretends not to see you, and that you are doing a favour in this one, in addition to being endless dirt. All the times that I requested something they were looking me up as I am a stranger while the staff were taking picture behind the bar holding a Prosecco glass. ||Ice? No way! They don't put ice in any drink and every time I asked for only ONE ice cube was handed out to me, with an ugly face of someone who seems to be asked to do something extraordinary. Bring your own (it’s not a joke!)||Now about the leisure area and better to take care of your children especially teenagers because one of the "animators" and very "enthusistic" with the teenagers and I saw very embarrassing situations, not to mention the invasion of privacy and the insistence to participate in the activities, creating a certain embarrassment while the only purpose of my holidays was have a piece of peace. ||The pool is completely dirty and even with 5 or more lifeguards they are more willing to play games between yes, playing each other trowing their own slippers inside the pool, than watching guests who take children's diapers and let them pee in the adult pool as if it were something natural. (Maybe it's local culture but I value safety and hygiene in my routine).||Check-out is 11am and when was 11:03 they called to my room asking for me to leave, and before saying a word the unpleasant front of house team asked my bracelet to making sure that I am not going anywhere or consuming their cheapest alcohol- disgusting. |Baggage room has no security, no identification ( is there a 5 stars hotel isn’t it?) and the area as you can see in the picture is a mix of everything that they have in this disgusting place.||Reception worries more about their phone or to smoke in their desks than provide a basic customer service; barely the minimum acceptable service.||I could write many more things but only one sentence can describe my opinion, to be BAD you have to get better yet, do not spend money to go to this place if you are not fluent in the local language and value the minimum of cleanliness and pleasant experience in your trip, or else, get used to being treated badly...
