Heat Complex Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Peshtera

Well, my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to go away around the holidays to spend some nice time together, specifically at a spa hotel. We found some vouchers for this hotel and decided to give it a shot!||From the start - going through a bar/cafe and upstairs with our bags (no elevator) - to reception, to be on the top floor of the hotel (still no elevator) and to find a room with no soap in it (shower gel or regular soap). We wanted massages, which I eventually had, which took place in the main room with the jacuzzi, and it was clear that, me being a foreigner, they tried to take advantage and offer only a 30 minute massage instead of the 50 minutes that are posted when we made the appointment.||The room wasn't cleaned while we were there, and overall was nothing special considering it was the most expensive in the hotel. The spa itself wasn't bad (steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and heat chairs).||The restaurant was abysmal, with breakfast being "included" for us but was extremely simple and tasteless; dinner was about the same, and overall was even slow at that. ||To get to the spa you had to walk through the aforementioned cafe/club, which was a bit strange, especially if in the evening when it's busy with people meeting and you are in your bathrobe. ||Overall, probably the other hotel in the town (Domaine Peshtera Hotel) was probably the nicer one. Good overall, but not worth the price (and they've got fake rating on Booking) Pros: * Good location, the walking area and the city center are really at the side of the hotel. * Friendly and helpful staff. * Breakfast was OK (at additional cost though). * Clean bathroom and warm room. * Nice view from the balcony. * Once you get to the spa zone, it was nice - having a Finnish sauna, hot-steam bath and a Jacuzzi. Cons: * To get to the spa, one has to walk in his/her bathrobe through the lobby/coffee area which is usually full of people. Most inconvenient!!! * We had been charged an additional fee (10 BGN per person) for using the spa, although the prices at the Reception showed that spa was included in the room rate - well, that didn't apply for reservations through Booking! * We had been given bath robes but those didn't have belts. * The place didn't have single-use flip-flops or slippers to use in the spa area. * Showers in the spa zone weren't working. * No elevator. * Somewhat hard to find the reception...

After a trip to Snejanka cave,we decided to have lunch at heat restorant. Most of us ordered grill + salad's, + soup and drinks. After 30 min of waiting,most of our beverages were served. After an hour of waiting,my cabbage soup was ready,then the first steak came - defrosted in microwave probably ( all watery) then sat on the grill for few minutes,and for finish apparently it was put in a pan with old oil = so that was one very bad and spoiled steak. After another 20 min (thats like 1 hour and 20 min after ordering) Some of the food start coming out of the kitchen. It was somehow eatable,but not what you expect for the price you pay (probably wont eat it even if it was free).
