It's work in progress. Foyer and outside is great. The hotel has potential, but does not deliver on the small stuff. For the price of a 4 star hotel, i.e. Hilton quality, they lack in major areas Rooms: Cons -no carpet. Cold tile floors and no flip-flops provided. no night stands..some "assembly" is there but seems unstable. Don't put a glas of water or Eyewear there. TV screen is too small, feels like a computer screen, not a real TV -Walls are not well isolated, could hear other room's TV loud and clear -A/C units are old and not functioning well. -bathroom has no curtains..and the shower head was not well adjusted-it either shot water to the wall or to the middle of the restroom, but never onto you in the tub. All my attempts to adjust It failed. Who needs to have two free hands as they shower anyway..u can hold the handset w one hand and shower w the other. -there was no "do not disturb" sign to put on the door if u wanted to sleep longer -no tooth brushes and mouthwash provided -cloth hangers were soft and coats fell off them
Pros: -lighting was good and well thought -rooms and bathrooms were renovated good wardrobe size rooms smelled clean phone in bathroom in case u r taking a bath and u don't want to miss that importation call u have been waiting 4 a month -good wifi signal -sheets and blankets looked new, pillows too
Restaurant Pros: good ambiance, artsy silverware Cons: The waiter was plain rude and never smiled once as if it wasn't his job to be nice..makes u wonder what actually was his job description. I would have rather preffered to choose my meals on an electronic tablet and have them brought to my table by a Rumba robot like in Tea and Eat 1999 in Sofia. Portions were small, expensive, and not that good. Let's stop here.
Service Pros: responsive personnel Cons: never smiled, lacked coordination. Mixed breakfast room service orders, brought to wrong room..and the hotel probably wasn't even full.
In short: if u r with a car, its location is great. As they say: location, location, location. Wonderful surroundings, clean and recently renovated inside. Good ambiance. The small stuff that makes u feel comfortable is not there, and for the price, it is definitely unacceptable. However, it does the job and is clean. Oh, and it just needs so little to...
Read moreMy family and I had a wonderful weekend in Pleven. Park Hotel Kaylaka is the perfect getaway for families or nature lovers. It is a really quiet place to relax and forget about any worries. The room was really pretty designed, clean and the bed was soooooooo comfortable. The lobby and other facilities where also newly renovated and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was served from 7:30 on and there was everything available that our little one and we required. Even coffee with different flavors prepared from their Barista. We visited the restaurant every evening as this was the easiest way for us with our little girl. The menue was first class with delicious creations in high quality. I can especially recommend their steak and the meatballs on fire. The service was really friendly and they were so lovely with our daughter. Close to the hotel there is an AMAZING bar (Bar Chertoga) where you can take some really delicious drinks in an unique atmosphere. The night we went there, there was also an DJ and we had an awesome time. The pool area is still under construction but will be finished soon, we will definitely go back to take a jump in the water. Park Hotel Kaylaka is placed in the middle of a natural canyon which is also a well known natural paradise for all nationals. You can go for a walk, enjoy the nice lakes or even climb up one of these breathtaking rocks. It is very safe to go there for a walk, even by night, and we just relaxed there during the day in one of the many green areas which are very clean. As you can see, we are in love with this place and are looking forward to our next stay at Park Hotel Kaylaka. Thank you so much for having us and make our little escape that special and unique. Warm greetings from Anika...
Read moreOur stay on August 9-10, 2025 was a bit of a mixed bag. The location is a major plus, nestled right in the beautiful Kayluka park. However, this scenic view is a bit spoiled by the unfinished buildings in the hotel's backyard, which gives the area a neglected feel. The staff was great. The receptionist was helpful and professional, and the restaurant staff was courteous and efficient. We enjoyed the signature dishes, though we found the prices to be a bit on the high side. The wine list was a pleasant surprise, offering an eclectic and interesting selection of local, national, and imported wines across all price points. Another great perk is the free access to the paid swimming pool next to the hotel. Plus, parking is included and readily available. On the downside, the hotel's age (dating back to the 1950s) is noticeable. The rooms feel small, and the renovations appear to have been done on a budget. We had a particularly frustrating experience in room 102 where the air conditioning was faulty, turning on and off intermittently and becoming quite annoying. The bathtub drainage was also clogged, which was inconvenient. Overall, while the excellent service, location, and amenities like the free pool and parking are a draw, the dated and somewhat worn out rooms were a significant drawback...
