We went to Redenka just before the Christmas holidays with my family and some friends. We were traveling with two babies and a dog, the hotel said they will provide the cribs for the kids. When we arrived the crib was broken, we asked for it to be changed and even though the guy at the reception desk said he will handle it, no one came to fix it until we pressed more firmly. The same thing happened with the SPA, which was supposed to work from 8-21h but none of the facilities were on apart from the pool. The pool itself is nice and warm but completely unfitting for kids, let alone babies. The depth is 160 everywhere. As for the rooms, we rented a studio with a kitchen and a bedroom, but we weren't given the special key that turns on the kitchen until we explicitly asked for it. We had reserved breakfasts and dinners, and even though the first day was good, all the rest we were fed recycled dinners and we had to notify the staff about an expired cheese twice. The baby seats never did get cleaned, which was just ridiculous. In general we did have a good time, there were outdoor facilities for the kids to play and the lobby bar was nice, however I simply cannot give a...
Read moreOur stay in Redenka was very nice. We stayed in a villa, and the conditions in this villa (number 14) were very good. There are 3 bedrooms with a different size, two bathrooms, down and up-with a bathtub. There is a private sauna, but you must pay it per hour. In the complex you can enjoy a Spa centre where you fill find a sauna, jacuzzi, a pool and a steam bath. Everything was clean (they clean the Spa every night). In the villa you can also use a fireplace, but to enjoy it you must pay 25leva for the woods. The all inclusive was very good in our opinion. For every breakfast and dinner they changed some food, desserts and fruits. We’ve been 3 days and we tried different food. The food is Ok, not very special, but not bad! The service in the restaurant and the lobby is fine. They can improve and be more smiling and polite. The complex needs a restoration at all. It’s a good place, but needs to be maintained. The Spa is very small for all Hotel parts and 20+ villas. Maybe if they make a second Spa with a pool, will be super. About the noise from the highway- we didn’t have this experience. It was quite...
Read moreI visited this place for the first time ten years ago, in 2011. Then, I visited it for the second and third times in 2016, five years ago. Ten years ago it seemed like something otherworldly, the villas were so luxuriously decorated. Five years ago I can’t explain how I didn’t see the start of their slow decline. Now, ten years later, everything is still the same. Which means that ten years of wear and tear have passed. The villas need urgent attention!
There were a few good things during our stay, nevertheless. They opened just for us after calling at 8:30 in the morning, because the villas that we were staying in surprised us that due to the pandemic they were closing for two days. And the villas with personal sauna are something that is not very common in Bulgaria. Especially during lockdown this can tingle the senses of every spa-lover. It was also nice to have a fully equipped kitchen so we could cook whatever we liked for ourselves and not depend on deliveries in plastic bags and containers.
If the place gets renovated they surely will see us...
