Hotel Silistra — Hotel in Silistra

Hotel is not very well posted, no signs on the outside to say its name, but there is plenty of parking around and about. Receptionist was VERY friendly & spoke good English. She showed us to our room which turned out to be a suite, 2 double bedrooms with a shared shower room...very spacious main bedroom, bed wasn't made but sheet/pillows/towels all folded fancy on the bed!!! Our room was at the front of the hotel and there is a lot of traffic noise even though the hotel itself is on the 5th floor of a business centre, as it's on the main high street...!!||We ate in the restaurant with a group of friends, underground and cellar like in a lovely way, and both nights someone complained about the food...it was either under-cooked or non existent.||Upside: Very spacious rooms, central for town, bars/restaurants, friendly receptionist.||Downside: Very thin walls, room next door to us people were talking loud on both nights until the early hours of the morning, plus you can hear the music from the restaurant 5 floors below!!||Would we use...

It is kind of very low star family hotel. My family and I stayed for few days there which I couldn't see the housekeeper to clean the room and change the sheets and pillows. The bath accessories never got replaced with new ones. Our booking was with access to the balcony which this wasn't really through. The staff was unfriendly and looks like no ones cares about the hotel guests including us. I was wondering how this can happen after the location is so perfect and the building is still new since 2009. However, I kind will try to recommend this Family Hotel only for one night stay... If anyone's needs to stay longer can get disappointed. By the way is very quiet place which is the only one...

The room was big and spacious, also looked clean and tidy. The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly, we received good instructions about the hot water and the heating and also had an extra heater in the room, if any case (it was). The "problem" is the bathroom - the bathroom door was eaten in the bottom side and there was a huge hole below, so 0 privacy. After you take a shower, the water on the floor does not go into the sink, but in front of the toilet, so you cannot use the toilet without swimming in water - here the whole room should be renovated asap. I recommend having a sleeping eye mask, as the street lights are...
