Monte Vedetta — Hotel in Sliven

We booked a 2-night stay through Booking. We got a confirmation email from Booking so everything seemed ok. However, out of the blue, our booking got cancelled. On the day of our arrival, they sent us an email at 2:50pm (of course, I didn't see it) to ask whether we confirm our stay. At 2:58 pm, they cancelled our booking... We found out about this when we reached the hotel so you can imagine what an unpleasant surprise it was for us. Plus, the woman from the reception was quite rude, giving us unlogical explanations... They also said they tried to call us and that I gave a fake number... No, the number I gave included the country code of Bulgaria without "+". Obviously, it is difficult to change the code with 0. And what if I was travelling by plane and couldn't talk or text 58 minutes after the check-in started... Not to mention that they did not even try to say they are sorry or that they can help us with finding a new place to stay... Anyways, I will never come back because of the poor service. The hotel really looked promising but the service is not what it should be for a 4-star hotel. We immediately booked a room in another 4-star hotel in the city and the difference in attitude was so...

I booked this hotel for 3 nights, and the first thing I paid attention to was that the room wasn't clean good enough. Besides the unfolding chair, I found a nuts from the last costumers(see attached picture). For three days there, nobody asked me if I have a need from something (soap,shampoo, towels, etc). The breakfast was really bad and even wasn't plates in my morning (around 9 am),so I have to go to the kitchen to ask for some. Very few scramble eggs, old bananas, and apples , no sign for any pancakes or croissants(I got the last 2 pieces of homemade cake for my family in our third morning). The car park is so small(spot for maximum 6-7 cars). When I asked regarding the jacuzzi, the answer was that it was not working, and if I needed to use the sauna, I had to pay 20 lv for 90 minutes(joke). Guys in the whole world once you pay for accommodation all facilities(swimming pool, jacuzzi, saunas etc are free of charge) but not in Sliven Bulgaria 🤔. At check in you are supposed to fulfil information regarding your breakfast. I chosen to go with vege option. Although, I received some cereals with milk that had hair floating. The guy told me that he gonna bring me a spoon, waited for next 20 minutes. After that I asked where is the food I ordered - it was supposed to be a plate with cucumbers tomatoes cheese and Eggs. Well, after a while he came back with right food but after I told him about that he went to kitchen and didn't realised that you can hear what he says in the dinning area. He said "very problematic batee" to some of his colleagues. ||||Too bad, hotel was nice but the breakfast experience totally shattered their ratings.||||If you are looking for a cool place to stay- it's perfectly close to the mountains with nice view.
