We went there on a recommendation from a neighbor regarding the food but were left very disappointed. First off, getting there is not the easiest thing, the roads are full of holes and are dirty and tight. I honestly don't know how this place can afford to place the signs that lead to it. Secondly, the food was plain at best, it was bland in taste and not to mention that they didn't have a few of the stuff listed in the menu. The lady that took our order, though she was hospitable, was quite slow, writing down the whole order word for word instead of using some sort of abbreviations or mnemonics like most waiters do. We had to wait a few minutes before the next one of us can order. The cooking didn't take too long, though, so that's a plus. The place itself is nothing special, there's a pretty view which you can't observe very well from the restaurant due to the high wall and some of the tables were even plastic ones so that should give you an idea how cheap the place actually is. It is worth mentioning the superior quality of the authentic Bulgarian cuisine and variety offered in their restaurant. The rooms and bathrooms are great and spotless clean. The Aleksievata Kashta is also a great place for your business meeting or a team building event. When you go to Gurgulyat to see the Pantheon or trekking in the mountains make sure to stop here. The people are smiling and welcoming, the place is friendly and spotless.
