Хотел "Смилен" — Hotel in Smolian

We stayed here for 2 nights in October and everything was as expected. A cosy medium-sized hotel with tidy rooms, enough food for the breakfast and a very good position, in a silent neighborhood, approximately 5 kilometres away from Smolyan downtown. The double room was 55 leva per night, breakfast included. Rooms are well divided, having a small hall between the bedroom and the bathroom. The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is the shower. There are only 2 glass panels that prevent water from dispersing over the closet and the sink, however not enough, because in the central part of the cabin there's nothing. The place is really nice, the surrounding nature is stunning and it's really nice to have such a pleasant view from your window. It's near to the Smolyan Lakes, which can be reached with a car or by walking. The breakfast is in a traditional bulgarian manner and the best part for me is that such a nice place is pet friendly and we had the opportunity to bring our dog with us. The staff wes really polite with us and with the dog. There are some vegan options in the menu but not that many and the breakfast is not suitable if you are a vegan. Great family owned hotel! Rooms are nice, warm and cozy! There are fridge, kettle, soap and shampoo in room! Meanwhile you can enjoy sauna and massage there as well. Interior design is original and looks good and cozy. There is restaurant inside with tasty Bulgarian cuisine 🤗 Hotel is located not far away from the main road , on hill so you can enjoy nice views from window or open terrace.
