We were amazed by this wonderful place. A beautifully restored Rhodopian house close to everything. We instantly felt very welcome when we arrived and were shown to our lovely room. I really like how everything is kept in the traditional way to tell a history.||There's a busy road next to the hotel. But our bedroom was facing away from the street and we were not bothered by the noise at night.||After having read positive things about the restaurant we decided to give it a try. We were NOT disappointed! Since we were quite hungry after a long days traveling we ordered a Sach each (being used to the regular sizes from city restaurants). The owner came to tell us that it's not that he didn't want to sell us the food. But he was almost quite certain that we could not eat it all. So we skipped one of the dishes as he had recommended and became quite full even though.||The next day we had planned on going to the Waterfalls Canyon and the owner helped us finding the way. They also made us lunch for the hike.||The owner is an honest and very helpful guy. It seems from the visitors that he is also well respected and loved by the local residents. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. I'd definitely stay here again the next time we come near Smolyan.||Thank you for a...
Read moreThis was our first trip to Bulgaria, so didn't really know what to expect and had a wonderful time. This guest house is fantastic with amazing food, accomodating and friendly staff and lovely rooms. Our sheets were cleaned every night and the breakfast was different each morning ranging from Bulgarian pancakes to French toast. The staff were kind and caring and would help and advise on the trip throughout the whole week. The value is unbelievable and the rooms spacious, beautiful and clean. ||If you're new to Bulgaria or new to this area, and although I am without a doubt a complete novis to Bulgaria even after a week there, I would recommend food wise the sizzler plates, potato cakes, yogurt salad, blue tomato salad and trout. We ate as a group with a few dishes and shared which definitely worked in our favour instead of having a meal each. The quality of food is great, and the dishes were beautiful. ||I hope this is...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here for two nights in June. Albert, the friendly host, made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. He and Lucy are excellent cooks too, so we ate some great local dishes. Albert didn't want us to pay for breakfast, serving a very good coffee at the same time. The house is a beautiful example of Rhodopean traditional architecture, with a spacious common room upstairs. Outside is an attractive terrace, and as their cuisine is so good, many local people come there to sit, eat, drink and relax. Heartily...
