Eleganza Hotel — Hotel in Sofia City

Very poor quality welcoming. An extremely bad experience in this hotel. We had planned to stay for one night after a long trip from France by car. The lady on the phone spoke very bad English, difficult to understand but she confirmed a double room available with a price in Euro. When we arrived, my husband was very badly welcomed, I was waiting for him in the car park with my baby who was sleeping while he completed the check in. The lady didn't want to accept euros because we were in Bulagaria she said in a very agressive and severe tone, she was not polite at all and left a very unpleasant first impression of Bulgaria, our first time here. We decided to leave because my husband felt ill-at-ease and somewhat scared.. I put one star because I couldn't put zero. We were left at midnight with my baby, forced to find another hotel, which we did just next door and a far better one, Atlantic hotel much more welcoming and upper standard for a little more euros but still cheap for the 25 m2...

Stopped by to sleep one night during a 2 day car trip. We searched for a hotel with safe parking and nonstop reception cause we arrived late. The parking was full and there was only one space where you couldn't get in with an audi (break) because the others parked wrong. We asked where we could park and they told us to park in front of the hotel. It didn't feel safe so we tried a few more times and managed to park in that small space in the parking area. We were tired and didn't like this experience. Then the room smelled bad and didn't feel clean either. There was no shower gel and the terrace was very small and it had two air conditioning machines occupying the entire terrace. I didn't like it for the price...

We needed to stay overnight in Sofia so we booked this place for a very decent price.||||The place is located in Simeonovo district in a very quiet street. There is free private parking and offers good value for the money if you are just looking for a place to sleep a continue the next day, it's nothing spectacular but it serves the purpose. We did found one bug on the bed but other than that it was nice little hotel.||||I was surprised that there was not shower booth or curtain in the bathroom so if you need to use the toilet after someone got a shower, you need to wear shoes or your feet...
