For us it was the best location from what Sozopol has to offer, private complex and have seen a lot of cameras as part of internal surveillance. Pets are allowed, you must notify before arriving and a 5 euro fee per day is requested. Car must be parked in their private parking area (free of charge). Full payment is requested at check in and its possible to pay by card or cash. There are lot's of families with children, apartaments are big and contains all needed facilities for couple of days. Depending on luck you may have very quite days or not (if children are staying near). We stayed 2 weeks in this complex, cleaning girls came every day, they did superficial cleaning in some days ,but overall no complaining (clean sheets/towels every couple days, toilet paper every two days, taking the trash every day). For maintaing the gardens there is a lot of work done and that means you can hear noises for one-two days, is inevitable. Pools are clean, lifeguard was there since 9 am to ensure safety. Difficulty on discussing in English with people staying at Reception, or to give us details about available options in premises on what is included for money spent ( I was advised on checking the official bg site). Restaurants from complex I found to be quite expensive, although at least on pizzeria the food was allways good no matter the choice had (pizza, salad, pasta). We found after couple of days thru different google reviews that a 10% discount card is given for persons reserving their room via bg official site, which we had. We received the card only after we asked about it at the reception.

The village is very calm and well maintained. The apartments are large, most of them with balconies and views. There are 5 pools and plenty of space to walk around, up and down hills. The staff at the restaurant was friendly and professional, unlike the staff at reception who had no idea what they were doing. When we arrived they acted surprised and didn't even greet us. They have several electric cars to take you around the complex, but it's impossible to know their schedule and to use them. The drivers all sit around the main entrance just chatting. Parking in or around the complex is a nightmare and not free. They should really invest in dedicated parking spaces for their guests, considering the number of apartments available. There's a paid public parking at the back of the complex, which costs 2lev per hour, or 12lev per day. Otherwise, if you try to park around the complex, on the street, most likely you'll be fined. Security wise, you are given a chip bracelet to access several entrance/exit points. Other than this I didn't see any security guards walking around, considering how large the complex is.

We loved the accommodation and having so many pools kept the children entertained everyday for a week. Only reason I only give 3 stars is there is no information about what’s happening. There needs to be a leaflet or internet link with general info like cleaning schedules where you can sit on beaches, if you can have a lift with the golf cart red shirts, what is expected on checking out. We checked out at 12 from our apartment but as you can’t get to some areas without the red fob we assumed that you could keep your keys until transfer time, which for us is 9pm so we set the children up at the pool and then walked down to reception to make sure only to have a very rude lady tell me off. I tried to say that we weren’t told that we needed to drop off the key and we had left the apartment before 12 and apologised but she was still really rude. Not what you really want at the end of your holiday 🙁 👎🏻 for the receptionist and 👍🏻 for pools and accommodation. Also cleaning staff were really nice.

Santa marina is an unusual place in that it is a collection of apartments set in the most stunning of grounds. ||Stayed in apartment 103/41 with incredible views over karavatsit beach and the bay ||With the most stunning sunset and sunrise.||Apartment was spacious , clean and well equipped with mini kitchen ,iron and air con.||Maid service everyday with fresh towels .||Only complaint was the bed ! So big and comfortable struggled getting out of it .||||5 swimming pools 4 restaurants and amazing huge jacuzzi at viva mare .||Pools were immaculate, sunbeds and shades plentiful. Showers and changing areas also.||We stayed half board and here the glowing review changes somewhat .||Breakfast was full of choice from full English to continental and we never went hungry or have any complaints here .||Evening meal was a different story , we were one couple of about 4 on half board and could only be accommodated in the buffet restaurant when some other function made it worthwhile to open , here the food was OK, nothing to write home about and not really worth the e tra cost of halfboard .||When the buffet couldn't open we all dined at viva mare restaurant below ||Here is where my only complaint really lies .||Eating at viva mare is random one day you will the next you may not the menu is very limited for half board guests and in a 2 week stay you can easily repeat your food choices , no soft drinks included only tap water included. ||You will spend quite a bit on drinks ut the food is of a much better standard than the buffet again dessert is limited to 3 choices ice cream ,fruit or manager's special for 3 nights running creme caramel was the special. ||Do not stay half board but eat out in the old town for a better choice.||Drinks prices are consistent across the site but be aware your mixer for your spirit is about the same price as the spirit itself. Buy from the online supermarket and save a fortune .||The village is surrounded by beaches , some clean some not so clean went for a walk on karavatsit beach and was pretty appaled by the state of it and the water it looked like an advert for plastic pollution of the oceans saw everything from builders bag to flourecent tubes in the sea , the beach in main sozapol is much better ||For the best beach go behind matis bar in sozapol old town its immaculate but small .||Oh special shout to Matis bar great food and drinks plus service and even put the wales v Ukraine game on for us .||Would we go back again definitely but only bed and breakfast .||N & P...

My family enjoys the village - decent landscape gardening, clean pools, cool nights in the height of the season, variety of activities. This time I was disappointed by the lack of communication and poor housekeeping. Nobody told us that housekeeping would be done once in every three days. I only found out in a review I read online from a guest complaining about the same. The circumstances required it for the safety of everyone, there's no arguing about it, but at least management could have lent a spare broom to sweep out the sand that was piling up. Foot towel had not been provided when we arrived. Housekeeping came on the third day at a very inconvenient time when the baby usually had a nap. Obviously, I refused to let the housekeepers in and clean. Our one-and-a-half year-old boy constantly ran across the room, collecting sand underneath his feet and dropping it on the bed. On the last day but one from our week's holiday, we got a nice clean-up and it felt great. We met other families who stayed at the village and they said they'd found a broom in their apartments. Next time we decide to stay at Santa Marina I hope we won't have this bad luck. Besides, I wish staff would stop giving us the 10% restaurant discount card as we already have a couple of them and try something new. At check-in staff also gave us two vouchers for the paid beach area owned by the village but there was an option to play a game of tennis so I would have gone for that if I had been...
