If you go to Magnolia you must know that you have no right to have any complainings. If you do you will be thrown out even if you already paid the ticket. While eating and staing at the endless line for food my gluten free bread was taken and thrown away by the kitchen staff.when i noticed it I went to the kitchen door and nicely asked to get it back;my child and me can eat only that kind of bread and i had no idee where i could buy in Bulgaria gluten free products.I was thrown out like a dog and without cheking the employees told me that my bread was already in the garbage.I also had a gluten free mustard and the cover of the jar was also thrown away .when i asked at least for that a angry women from the staff took the cover from the garbage and as it was full of garbage put it in my hand.I remained speachless. This was in our last day of our trip. The staff knew i was gluten intolerant. When i complain to the manager she screamed at me that I should keep ouiet or she will call the police and that the kitchen is staff only.I had a water in my hand and she snatched it from my hand. That swhen i got really mad and snatched it back sayng between my teeth that ,,i payd for that water,,She put the man in charge of security to throw me out of the hotel and she kept yeeling that she will call the police,When i gave her the key to the room she refuzed to give me our papers:my husband s ,mine and those of the 2 children. When I threatened with the police ,custumers protection and the roumanian consulat she said that she will give me my papers but only outside and she started to wawing the papers upon her head while she was going to the dorrs outside. She did that only to humiliate me ,and i said that i was mot her dog,I let my papers at the reception and there is where i want to get them back, not outside.Finnaly ,my husband took the papers from her and we left. This is just the last of the cherries. The meal was bad, only the cheapest salami,we assisted to a change of punches between employees with our children near them, the employees were xenophobes, the beach had no nets so we had alges, the sand was something like litlle rocks and they burned our feet, and not to forget IN THE FIRST NIGHT A CAR WAS STOLEN IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL(A CLIENT S CAR)SO WE SLEPT WITH THE FEAR THAT MAYBY OURS WILL BE STOLEN ALSO.||The only good thing there was the animation team ,4 young ,openminded full of energy people who made our stay bearable.I thank then with this ocasion,it was nice to see profesionalism even if sadly only at them. So,if you ever want a taste of comunism and go to Magnolia SPA and all the sunshine,...
Read moreWe spent a week at this hotel, and was very pleased with it,for the amount I paid to spend a week AI.The only fault with the hotel ,is that it should inform you that it is not for people with mobility problems,as there are stair every where, even to get to the lift you have to go up and down steps. The hotel its self was clean and tidy, yes the place was a little tired, could do with updating but the hotel clean. The bedrooms are cleaned every day, clean towels every day and the sheets were changed most days. This was our first time in Bulgaria, and I really hope to go back again, things were very cheap, eating out and drinks,so I wouldn't do AI again. The food at the hotel was no better or worse then other AI hotels, where ever you go.We could always find something to eat, when we weren't eating out.We found all the staff to be very friendly and polite. Some have said on here that it's not a 4star hotel, but it's is,as you had a TV in the room, hair dryer, and fridge and pool ,this is why they have the stars,ok shock horror you can't get English TV,but who goes away to watch TV, I don't.It must be a problem with some,as the porter told as he was sorry that there is no English TV.When out and about we found that the prices were higher in golden sands, but still cheap,so no different from any other holiday spot. What I did find when out and about how bad the toilets were,so dirty and smelly, some no paper, water or soap, even when you had to pay to use them, you would find someone sitting at the door taking your money, but that's all they did,no sign of any cleaning things, may be its just away of taking money from people by sitting at public toilets. So the important thing to remember is ,if you have any mobility problems ,elderly,or very unfit avoid golden sands,go to the parts...
Read moreBooking.com really ruined my last vacation... The hotel is supposed to be situated in Golden Sands... IT IS NOT! Its miles away in some bleak corner of Bulgarian sea coast. The hotel has a 4 stars rating!!! I barely gave it 2 stars, and believe me, I know what a 4 stars hotel means. Its restaurant is rated 3 stars, fact that I realised only when arrived there. Booking.com never informed that. And according to bulgarian star rating, to eat in a 3 stars restaurant is an important challenge for both quality of food and your health. In short... we were starving... and we went in vacation with our 3 years old child! We couldn't take the risk of feed them with that garbage of so called food. The offer was (and we paid for) an all inclusive. The surprize was that on the hotel beach (which by the way is not at all close to the hotel) you have to pay extra for seats, or you could lay directly on sand. By the way... the sand is far from what u expect to be... it is more like small rocks. I'm sorry for bulgarian turism, but i will never go again there till they realise that a client can be...
