I am coming with a honest review about this hotel and his services based on my 7 days stay. The hotel looks pretty decent, not the best, also not the wrost. The reception and loby are in the same area, and it gives you the impression is a small hotel, but never saw full of people around. We arrived earlier to check in and we had to wait for parking guy to can let the car save without being picked up. He gave us a parking space 300 m away to hotel, that was more expensive than the price shown by the official representant Excelsior on Booking, but we accepted because on the front of the hotel was nothing avaiable. IMPORTANT: a piece of paper is attached to the dashboard with all your personal data: Name,Surname, Telehone number and the hotel room where are you staying, which is illegal according to the new EU regulations on the protection of personal data. Unfortunatley, they don't have a early check in service, so if you arrive earlier you must to waste your time till the time of regular check in. On 2:05 pm we went to reception to finally check in, there the lady was absolutely rude and unpolite, she told us the check-in process can take up to an hour more and almost she screamed at us without even apologizing for the inconvenience. We had to wait almost half of hour with another turists till we finally check in. The room was nice, maybe a bit sadly design, everything in the room is grey, but looks exactlly like in the pictures. The Hotel not offers slippers, so I recommend to bring yourselfs because the floor doesn't have any carpet. We sat on the ground floor, the sad part of this was the balcony, because there wasn't any tumble dryer and we had to dry our towels and swim suits on the chairs, also there is not any privacy, because there are no privacy panels between the adjoining rooms, and this is not even safe. The food was acceptable, not so bad as I saw in other reviews, the breakfast is almost the same everyday and on the worst side of all meals. The lunch and dinner are better, you can find something to eat, or something that you like, but doesn't exist a large variety. Deserts are a joke, they should maybe change their suppliers or maybe hire a confectioner. The drinks were the same as in the other hotels. The cleaning service was trickey, on 7 days the sheets were not changed, but the towels just once, also, I recommend you to bring you from home at least 1 towel because in the room are just 2 towels per person, a small one and a medium one, and they are not enough, especially in a stay at sea when you wash your hair everyday. The pool is big enough from my point of view, but is sloppy and unneat, the showers don't work, the sunbeds and the floor are dirty, and leaves fall into the pool and in the toilet smell very bad, but the good part is that there exists a bar on the pool where are snacks and sweets. The animation team come in every evening, but the gimnastic is the same in everyday, nothing change, they should have more programs and change them day by day, the guy from animation doesn't have any succes, he try to convince the men participate on a football game but never saw somebody plays. I saw in other reviews that hotel is far away from beach but I tought is an exaggeration, but wasn't, we did in 7 days 85 k steps, so, for a very comfy people the distance can be a very important aspect. The staff is horrible, especially the reception, they don't smile, help, speak english, also, they are not behaving profesional, we asked in the last day an information about a peco for paying the road tax, and the lady from reception gave us a map with the resort, she or her colegue should gave us that map in the first day not in the last, that would help us a lot. For sure, all the reception staff need be seriouslly trained, beacuse the tourists interact most with...
Read moreWe had a room in 2nd floor opposite to the sea side. Overall the room and service was okay but there were some issues: we found some old plastic cups behind bed, tv had too few english channels and food oil smells came from outside, so we couldnt use the balcony. Also it was easy for someone to check into our room due to the low floor, so the curtains always had to be closed for us. No proper view from our room. We were also misinformed about gym in the hotel as they actually have a deal with some other hotel so that we could have visited their gym.
The room service visited daiily. Almost all of the staff was friendly and helpful although there were some issues with them understanding english in reception (only issues with 1 person who seemed also grumpy that day).
Food - there was large variety of meats available every day (pork, beef, chicken, turkey and duck). Every day had something different and there were grilled and fresh vegetables and salads available. All the desserts were too sweet for us, but perhaps that is our issue. There were always some fruits available as well (watermelon, orange, etc.). The food was too oily for our taste though. AI had some local drinks available (red and white wine - wasn't good in our oppinion, beer, various soft drinks (from Pepsi Co.), tea, coffee and local rum and vodka drinks). Pool bar had different ice creams, some fresh vegetables and pizzas (2 different toppings).
Pool was nice and clean with plenty of room although a lot of people used it. Chairs near the pool were "booked" early in the morning with people putting their towels on it, although sometimes they never even appeared to use them. In the daytime it was almost impossible to get free spot for sunbading.
Room Tip: Definitely request higher than 2nd floor room and on...
Read moreThe Hotel per se was really pretty. We liked the Hotel complex with the pool. We were 3 people staying there for a week. The room was big enough for us and was quiet comfy. The AC was great. Balcony and bathroom were more spacious than we thought. But the room was not clean when we arrived. What we also learned is that for the first three days our room wasn't cleaned. No new toilet paper and it was not moped. Evidently because my feet were dirty again after I showered and walked to the bed. And eventhough the minibar was powered on, it didn't get cold. The interior of the restaurant was fitting and welcoming. The food was okay most of the time. But on two different days we found moldy bread. When we told the personal/servers, they asked us what to do about it. They did change out the bread at least. Some of the egg dishes also tasted foul. Which was a shame. The server were really fast with clearing the table, sometimes a little too fast. :) The barkeepers were great, as well as the receptionists (that sadly got the wrong check-out informations from FTI). A special mention as we really liked Eli. We rented a safe at the reception which was pretty cheap over-all. Sadly it was said there would be some kind of entertainment but only 2 of the nights actually were with entertainment options. Again a little disappointing but understandable at the...
