Natural Bungalow — Hotel in Kampong Cham

Amazing experience at Natural Bungalow for 3 nights! This family is so kind and generous, the man is always smiling and makes delicious food on request for a very good price. (you must try his curry) Another amazing thing is that they are not money orientated business owners which is very refreshing. The man is a tuktuk driver and can sort you with activities too. Another alternative is that they have scooters available for rental with decent helmets.

About the room: The room is probably the major downside to this establishment because it doesn't have AC (which may probably put off a few people). However, they provide a very good fan and we were never too warm to sleep. Moreover, the bathroom tends to be a bit smelly and early morning there is a lot of noise due to the monks doing their morning ritual and the dogs/roosters. If you are the positive kind, this is only a good excuse to start the day early!

During our stay, we had included breakfast and the eggs are delicious!

Really enjoyed it here. Its like a semi rural area, and you get a travelers taste of how an average local family would sleep. Theres distant music and sounds from locals, and buddhist chants in the morning and wildlife noises, and small lizards on the patio, and crickets singing at night, and you can lay there in the stillness, under the mozzie net and just take it all in. And only 6 minutes to the city center. Host speaks exellent english. Very lovely people. And the food here...

On 11.03.2024, the mattress had bedbugs so we aborted our stay and moved to another place. The landlord is very friendly and accepted without difficulty our cancellation. He seemed however unaware of the bedbugs. I can just hope for him to get rid of them soon.
